Rep. Paul Gosar Issues Letter To President Obama

U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04), late Tuesday evening, sent a letter to President Barack Obama formally requesting that he “expeditiously” consider Arizona Governor Jan Brewer’s request for a federal Major Disaster Declaration for the state of Arizona as a result of the damage caused by the Yarnell Hill Fire, which claimed 19 lives and destroyed homes in Yavapai County. Rep. Gosar represents the town of Yarnell and nearly all of Yavapai County.

Today, U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) along with Reps. Trent Franks (AZ-08), Matt Salmon (AZ-05), Ann Kirkpatrick (AZ-01), Ron Barber (AZ-02), and Kyrsten Sinema (AZ-09) attended the memorial service honoring 19 firefighters killed June 30 while fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire. Congressman Gosar represents Yarnell, a Yavapai County town, where the fire burned more than 8,000 acres and claimed the lives of 19 members of the elite firefighter crew known as the Granite Mountain Hotshots.
