Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) released the following statement after President Donald J. Trump announced plans to sign an executive order halting immigration to the United States:
"At a time when millions of Americans are facing unemployment, the very last thing we need to do is import additional foreign labor. I'm grateful to President Trump for halting immigration to the United States, this is a bold and necessary step that truly puts America first. In conversations with the White House, I have pressed for an end to the Optional Practical Training Program (OPT) which allows foreign nationals to remain and work in the United States for years at the expense of American graduates." |
