Congressman Gosar Addresses Bombing in His District

Today, Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ), issued the following statement addressing the bombing of the Social Security office in Casa Grande, Arizona.

“First, I want to say how thankful I am that no one was injured and that law enforcement was able to identify and apprehend the suspect in a timely and safe manner,” said Congressman Gosar.  “This bombing shook downtown Casa Grande including my congressional office, just two blocks away.”

“The alleged bomber, Abdullatif Aldosary, is reportedly an Iraqi refugee who was given the privilege to live in our country, but has apparently repaid our generosity and kindness with repeated violence and aggression.  The FBI reports the use of a high explosive called ‘RDX’ that is often used in terrorist plots.   It is my expectation that this case will be fully investigated and the full weight of law enforcement brought to bear. The recent bombing in Casa Grande reminds us that we have to all have a responsibility to be vigilant and to alert authorities of any threats in our communities.”

Gosar continued, “Finally, let me point out that no amount of violence will deter the American people from their unshakable faith in God, our Constitution, and our true American values.”

On Friday, November 30, 2012, an improvised explosive device (IED) was used to bomb the Social Security office in Casa Grande, Arizona.  No employees or others were hurt as the IED was detonated early in the morning.
