WASHINGTON, D.C. –U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar (R-AZ) released the following statement in response to an attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya that killed U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three consulate staffers.

“My condolences and prayers to the families of Ambassador Stevens and the consulate staff viciously killed at the Libyan embassy.  These outrageous attacks go beyond the Middle East, as they strike at the core beliefs of freedom and honor that our nation stands for.  I hope swift and appropriate actions are taken to find and hold accountable those responsible.”

The United State Capitol is currently flying its flags at half-staff today in honor of the victims of this attack.
