Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-09) issued the following statement after voting in support of H.J. Res 44, legislation nullifying the final rule submitted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) regarding stabilizing pistol braces:

“The Biden regime began the biggest ban of firearms with its recent prohibition on the usage of legally purchased and ATF-approved pistol braces.  Biden’s ATF is quite literally attempting to ban a piece of plastic, perfectly demonstrating this is not about safety but rather the latest gun-grab effort by Joe Biden targeting law abiding gun owners.

Stabilizing braces were designed to help disabled veterans fire pistols, and the ATF has recognized their legitimate function for years.  Banning a pistol brace is as ridiculous as banning crutches because you might attach them to a chainsaw,” concluded Congressman Gosar.
