Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) issued the following statement after the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announced the transfer of 53 acres in Yuma County, AZ to the Department of the Army to assist in securing the Southern Border. “Today’s announcement by the BLM is another step towards fulfilling the promise we made to the American people to build the wall and secure our borders. The border in Southern Arizona is the epicenter for human and drug smuggling from Mexico into the United States, we must take every step necessary to stop this, lives depend on it. I stand firmly behind President Trump and his administration in fighting illegal immigration and protecting our border communities, like Yuma County, from cross border crime,” said Gosar.More information from the Bureau of Land Management can be seen HERE. |
