Gosar Announces Additional $3 Million in Funding for Bullhead City, Payson, Prescott Regional, and Colorado City Airports

Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) announced additional funding made available to Arizona's airports. The combined funding is almost $3,000,000 for the Fourth  Congressional District, and comes on top off and in addition to the millions previously allotted last month under the CARES Act. The three airports include: Bullhead City, the Town of Payson and Colorado City.

"I'm excited to announce new funding made available for several of our local airports. This money is directed at safety improvements, including the installation of vertical and visual guidance systems and to upgrade and rehabilitate taxiway lighting. These much-needed improvements will help our airports better serve our community and the many visitors they serve each year," said Congressman Paul Gosar.

“The Town Of Payson and the surrounding communities are most appreciative of this funding and consider it a bridge to tomorrow in our future. I look forward to working with Congressman Gosar in the future and consider him the hardest working and best Congressman," said Tom Morrissey, Mayor of Payson, AZ.

"Our Airport entrance road is falling apart and we’ve been planning on reconstructing for a few years. This project is a crucial piece of our capital improvement plan and improved airport customer/user experience. We are very grateful for this FAA funding and this is a perfect time to get this project completed," said Jeremy Keating, Airport Director at Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport.
