Gosar Announces New Totals Paid to Arizona Hospitals and Health Care Providers under CARES Act

Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04)  released the most current funding data provided under the CARES Act Provider Relief Fund which he voted for and for which he joined with his colleagues in making sure Medicare providers were compensated for emergency and non-emergency  treatment costs for COVID-19 cases.

As of April 24, 2020, Arizona hospitals and healthcare providers received a total of $371,629,034 in funding in two tranches. More than 3,000 providers and healthcare systems in Arizona received allocated funding. Money was allocated for uninsured treatment costs, COVID-19 high impact areas, rural providers, and over $400 million (nationwide) to the Indian Health Service.

In Arizona, the Navajo Tribe has been especially hard hit, and Congressman Gosar has extensively worked with the tribal leadership to get additional funding as well as rapid release of funding that was already approved.
