Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) following the passing of Chairman Elijah Cummings (MD-07):

“Born a sharecroppers son, Elijah Cummings rose to become Chairman of one of the most powerful Committees on Capitol Hill – he lived the American dream. As a member of the Committee on Oversight and Reform, we worked on a number of issues together. Though fierce divisions formed across most of our political system, Chairman Cummings conducted himself with grace and his long list of bipartisan friendships is a testament to his character. I will miss Elijah Cummings. Maude and I will be keeping his family in our prayers.”
