 Rep. Gosar: No Person Should be Forced into Compromising Religious Values

FLORENCE, ARIZ. - Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. released the following statement in response to the U.S. Supreme Court hearing the case against Hobby Lobby by Secretary Sebelius (SEBELIUS, SEC. OF H&HS, ET AL. V. HOBBY LOBBY STORES, INC.).

"I am pleased that the United States Supreme Court will be taking up this important case. Congressional Democrats and the Obama Administration went too far in their efforts to strip the fundamental religious rights of those who oppose contraceptives and abortion."

"As a Catholic, a father and a strong supporter of our nation's Constitution, I believe that no person, company or educational institution should be forced into compromising their religious values because Big Government has decided it knows best."

Rep. Gosar also released a statement last year in regard to the contraceptive mandate, which will require all non-exempt employers to provide health care coverage that includes abortion-inducing drugs or pay a steep tax.
