Rep. Gosar Accepts Position as Vice-Chairman of Congressional Western Caucus
Washington, DC,
January 7, 2015
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) released the following statement after being nominated and accepting the position of vice-chairman with the Congressional Western Caucus:
“I am honored to have been selected as part of the leadership team for the House Western Caucus. I look forward to working on pragmatic initiatives to protect the traditions of Western states while promoting reform goals that will positively impact our constituents. The mission of the Caucus outlines clear goals for developmental and transformative measures to address the concerns of Americans in Western and rural communities. I believe we have a group of bold and strategic individuals with the mindset to invoke commonsense changes. “There is an attack on the West from bureaucrats in Washington D.C. who want control of our land, water and other resources. I will continue to do everything in my power to preserve the uniqueness of our Western and rural cultures as well as make sure our communities are not shortchanged by out-of-touch politicians who know little to nothing about our way of life. The abundance of natural resources possessed in the West gives distinct advantages for new and abundant growth and I’m very optimistic about the future. I look forward to this new leadership opportunity representing the interests of Western and rural communities in the 114th Congress.” ### |
