Representative Gosar Backs Arizona Decision to Fight Obama's Unconstitutional Amnesty Order

Casa Grande, AZ – Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar (R-AZ) released the following statement regarding Arizona Governor Jan Brewer’s executive order to deny benefits to illegal immigrants under President Obama’s deferred action policy. Specifically, the order would deny drivers licenses and other public benefits from being granted to illegal aliens in Arizona who fall under President Obama’s de facto amnesty policy.

“During this war waged against Arizona’s right to protect its citizens and manage its border, I applaud Governor Brewer’s action to defend our state’s sovereignty. Arizona has again taken the lead in pushing back and standing up to the president’s unconstitutional, de-facto amnesty program. I am proud of Governor Brewer’s leadership, and I will continue to defend states’ rights.”

President Obama issued his executive order of de-facto amnesty this past June. Having taken a sworn oath to defend the Constitution, Congressman Gosar has denounced the administration’s unconstitutional executive overreach and is fighting hard to reverse it.
