  Phildephia VA Regional Office -Update

Good afternoon:

As recommended by the VA OIG, VBA convened an Administrative Investigation Board (AIB) to determine, among other things, whether Philadelphia VA Regional Office managers intentionally misapplied guidance regarding the application of Fast Letter (FL) 13-10 as a means to remove aging claims from its inventory. 

Proposed disciplinary actions are warranted as a result of the AIB findings.  On Friday, July 10, 2015, eight Philadelphia VA Regional Office employees received proposed disciplinary actions ranging from 14-day suspension to removal. 

Proposed disciplinary actions are expected for three additional employees.   These remaining proposals are on hold pending further investigation

Final decisions on each action will be made in accordance with the applicable due process procedures.  No further information on these proposed actions will be available at this time to ensure the due process rights of the employees are safeguarded.
