U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar, D.D.S (R-AZ) issued the following statement on the passage of the Brian A. Terry Memorial Act, H.R. 2668, by the U.S. Senate.
“Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry paid the highest price that one can pay serving our nation: he gave his life in the line of duty. His sacrifice and that of his family and loved ones is a constant reminder that we must cherish, not just the freedoms of our nation, but also the brave men and women who protect those freedoms.”

His sacrifice and that of his family and loved ones is a constant reminder that we must cherish, not just the freedoms of our nation, but also the brave men and women who protect those freedoms.” “The death of any law enforcement officer is a tragedy, but that of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry weighs more heavily on the hearts and minds of each of us because of the role that the federal government played in facilitating the sale of firearms found at the crime scene. As the only member of the Arizona delegation on the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, I resolve to find answers from the Department of Justice for Operation Fast and Furious that provided the weapons found at the scene of Agent Terry’s death.” The Brian A. Terry Memorial Act, H.R. 2668, which passed with unanimous support from the U.S. Senate, honors the memory of Agent Brian Terry by renaming the United States Border Patrol Station in Bisbee, AZ. ### |
