      Rep. Paul Gosar Statement on Resignation of Lanny Breuer
‘It is astounding that Breuer served as long as he did, despite him knowing about Fast and Furious’ 

Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S (R - AZ) issued the following statement after the Justice Department’s Criminal Division head, Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer announced his resignation.

“While it is another overdue step in the right direction, the resignation of Assistant Attorney General Breuer does not bring justice to the victims of crimes committed by weapons obtained in Operation Fast and Furious."

"The American and Mexican people deserve the answers that Breuer and Attorney General Holder have withheld. Only with these answers and the resignation of Attorney General Holder will justice be brought in the name of the hundreds of victims on both sides of the border.”

“It is astounding that Breuer served as long as he did, despite him knowing about Fast and Furious and allowing it to continue under his watch. Agencies and bureaucrats need to be held accountable to a jury of their peers like everyone else.”

“No one is above the law, yet it’s obvious that this Obama Administration thinks so.”

Congressman Paul Gosar has been at the forefront of the Fast and Furious investigation, calling for more accountability and the resignation of Attorney General Holder.
