Rep. Gosar on Tax Day

“Paying taxes can be a lot like watching Honey Boo Boo – excruciatingly painful. Taxes are especially painful when people learn that their hard earned money pays for fiscally insane programs like 'Cell Phones Gone Wild,' the $2.2 billion 'free' government phone program.”

Rep. Gosar on Tax Day
‘Paying taxes can be a lot like watching Honey Boo Boo – excruciatingly painful’

U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S (AZ-04) issued the following statement on Tax Day:

“Paying taxes can be a lot like watching Honey Boo Boo – excruciatingly painful. Taxes are especially painful when people learn that their hard earned money pays for fiscally insane programs like 'Cell Phones Gone Wild,' the $2.2 billion  'free' government phone program.”

Rep. Gosar continued, “It hurts when taxpayer money is wasted and abused – billions of dollars taken from the legitimate private sector and transferred to government to spend inefficiently. Until we take a closer look at our budget and cut the waste, fraud, and abuse, those clamoring for higher taxes only inflict pain on hardworking Americans. In fact, the tax-and-spenders punish the very things we want more of: productive work, risk-taking and success.”

“I support a fairer, simpler, and flatter tax system as a means to holding government accountable to the people and restoring economic prosperity for all.”
