Gosar calls for Transparency from Secretary Sebelius regarding Waivers to healthcare law Today, U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar, DDS (AZ-01) participated in a press conference along with Rep. Tim Huelskamp (KS-01), Rep. Jenkins (KS-02), Rep. Yoder (KS-03), Rep. Pompeo (KS-04), Rep. Walsh(IL-08), and Rep. Goodlatte (VA-06) regarding the lack of response from Secretary Sebelius in their inquiry about PPACA waivers being granted by HHS. Gosar made the following statement: “The lack of transparency regarding these waivers has been appalling. I sit on the Oversight Healthcare Subcommittee and saw firsthand during the hearing that was held on the issue this Administration went about the waiver process in bad faith. It is disturbing that when we tried to shine light on the issue, the Administration never answered all of our questions, but instead shut the process down. This process is only one example of the inevitable bad outcome when you try to put the entire health care system in the hands of Washington.” Dr. Paul Gosar is serving his first term in Congress as the Representative to Arizona’s First Congressional District. As a healthcare provider and small business owner, Gosar is focused on bringing jobs back to the district, reforming health care, reining in government spending and ensuring that his constituents are involved in the solution process.
