ICYMI: Rep. Gosar Celebrates New U.S. Citizens

Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) gave the keynote address at a naturalization ceremony yesterday in Yuma, in which 26 people became citizens of the United States of America. The ceremony took place in the Yuma City Council Chambers and was attended by the families of the 26 individuals who were naturalized.

After the ceremony, Rep. Gosar said, "Congratulations to those who became citizens of the United States. I’m proud to be able to call you my fellow Americans.

"I am a strong supporter of legal immigration. Our nation was built by immigrants who came here because America offered them the opportunity to fulfill their dreams. America’s greatness depends on our ability to attract the brightest minds from across the globe.

"I will continue to pursue immigration reform, which addresses the challenges faced within the current broken system. We must not allow those who broke the law to skip in front of those who have waited and are waiting to comply with existing laws."
