House Oversight Committee to Hold Field Hearing in Arizona to Examine Administration’s Broken Promise

 The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, of which Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) is a member, is holding a hearing in Arizona entitled "ObamaCare Implementation, The Broken Promise: If You Like Your Current Plan You Can Keep It." The hearing will focus on taking testimony from witnesses whose healthcare plans were cancelled as a result of Obamacare.

BACKGROUND:
On June 15, 2009, President Obama claimed “If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.” This is a broken promise because more than four million Americans have received cancellation notices for their insurance policies since the launch of Obamacare. Moreover, the Wall Street Journal reported that as many as 10 million consumers could have their plans terminated by their insurers effective January 1.
