Gosar Urges Tesla Motors CEO to Bring 6,500 Jobs to Arizona
'We've worked hard to create one of the best business environments in the country'

U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) led an Arizona Delegation letter to Tesla Motor's CEO Elon Musk requesting that Tesla selects Arizona as the location for its new Gigafactory, which will create approximately 6,500 jobs. Rep. Gosar's letter was signed by Arizona's entire House delegation, including Reps. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.), Matt Salmon (R-Ariz.), David Schweikert (R-Ariz.), Ron Barber (D-Ariz.), Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.), Ed Pastor (D-Ariz.), Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and Ann Kirkpatrick (D-Ariz.). Such overwhelming bipartisan support by the Arizona delegation demonstrates that, when it is crucial to Arizona, the delegation can act as a team to get things done.

"Locating in Arizona will allow Tesla Motors to take advantage of our state’s low cost of doing business, simplified tax system, highly skilled workforce, unique access to major markets and extraordinary quality of life. For these and many other reasons, Arizona presents an ideal choice for this revolutionary factory," the letter reads.

After the letter was delivered, Rep. Gosar said, "I respectfully urge Mr. Musk to consider, and select, Arizona for Tesla's new state-of-the-art Gigafactory. At every level of government, we've worked hard to create one of the best business environments in the country by removing obstacles that stifle job creation and economic growth. I will continue fighting to bring high-quality, good-paying jobs to Arizona."

Arizona is one of four states in final consideration by Tesla Motors for its new Gigafactory. Click HERE to read the letter.
