Congressman Gosar said, “In the 3.8 trillion dollar 2013 Budget proposal released by the White House this morning, President Obama offers more of the same. It shows his continued failure to understand the basic principles needed for economic recovery – get out of the way of private sector job growth, cut spending and do not add additional tax burdens to hardworking Americans. We cannot tax our way out of this crisis. There must be significant and meaningful cuts to spending and an honest discussion about reforming current entitlement programs so that they are sustainable for future generations. We must address our growing deficit which under current spending levels is an unsustainable amount of $600 billion this and future years.” As a small business owner for over 25 years, Congressman Gosar understands the devastating effects that higher taxes and more regulations are having on the business community. He went on to note that “While Americans across the nation are facing the longest period of sustained high unemployment since the Great Depression the President and U.S. Senate continue to block over 30 job creating bills, including the Southeast Land Exchange and Conservation Act of 2011 which would create thousands of jobs in Arizona and add billions to Arizona’s economy.” ### |
