FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 17, 2011 CONTACT: Stefani Zimmerman Congressman Paul Gosar’s Statement on the Two-year Anniversary of the “Stimulus” Bill U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar, DDS (AZ-01) on the second anniversary of the “stimulus” bill: “Two years ago today we were made a lot of promises- if Congress passed over a trillion dollars in new spending we’d all have more jobs and more prosperity. We were promised “shovel ready” infrastructure. That is not what happened. Today our government is at a crossroads. We can no longer try to spend and borrow our way out of recession; rather, we must live within our means and learn to budget. We must tackle government’s spending addiction. That is why I am working with my Republican colleagues to cut over $100 billion from the budget and find solutions to truly balance our budget.” Dr. Paul Gosar is serving his first term in Congress as the Representative to Arizona’s First Congressional District. As a healthcare provider and small business owner, Gosar is focused on bringing jobs back to the district, reforming health care, reining in government spending and ensuring that his constituents are involved in the solution process.
