Today, U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar, D.D.S (R-AZ) voted in favor of the Domestic Energy and Jobs Act (H.R. 4480). The act included seven bills that would address the high energy costs hurting American families by investing in domestic energy, and creating thousands of jobs. Furthermore, the legislative package removes the federal government’s economic roadblocks that hinder on-shore oil, natural gas and renewable energy production in an effort to utilize the country’s full energy production potential.

The act included seven bills that would address the high energy costs hurting American families by investing in domestic energy, and creating thousands of jobs. Furthermore, the legislative package removes the federal government’s economic roadblocks that hinder on-shore oil, natural gas and renewable energy production in an effort to utilize the country’s full energy production potential. According to the Congressional Budget Office, enacting the bill would reduce direct spending by $385 million over the 2013-2022 period and would not affect revenues. “This common sense piece of legislation will remove government roadblocks and bureaucratic red tape that hinder onshore oil, natural gas, and renewable energy production and will facilitate job creation. This act embraces a true ‘all of the above’ approach that our country needs,” Gosar concluded.
