The House voted 256 to 171 to stop the tax hike, which would raise the average Arizona family’s taxes by an estimated $3,341. “As taxpayers, we know that Washington does not have a revenue problem—it has a spending problem,” said Congressman Gosar. “Washington cannot solve our debt crisis by demanding more money from hard-working taxpayers. Today, I joined my colleagues in the House in voting to continue a tax system that allows families and business owners to decide how to use more of their hard-earned money to bolster America’s entrepreneurial spirit, protect over 700,000 jobs and strengthen our economy.”
