Yesterday, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) questioned witnesses at the Natural Resources Subcommittee on Water and Power hearing about the vital role of the Navajo Generating Station, among other issues.

Acting Commissioner Says Navajo Generating Station is Critical

Yesterday, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) questioned witnesses at the Natural Resources Subcommittee on Water and Power hearing about the vital role of the Navajo Generating Station, among other issues. The hearing was entitled "Examining the Proposed Fiscal Year 2015 Spending, Priorities and the Missions of the Bureau of Reclamation, the Four Power Marketing Administrations and the U.S. Geological Survey’s Water Program".

Concerning the Navajo Generation Station (NGS), Lowell Pimley, Acting Commissioner of the Bureau of Reclamation, said, "NGS is a critical component for the Central Arizona Project." The Central Arizona Project provides water from the Colorado River to the Phoenix and Tucson areas.
