Firefighters battle blaze in Tonto National Forest

Firefighters Sunday were battling a 100-acre blaze burning twomiles from the Tonto Fish Hatchery in the Big Canyon area of the Tonto National Forest, officials said Sunday.
The "Big Canyon Fire" was reported about 10:30 a.m. Sunday about 14 miles east of Payson in a rough and remote area of the forest, according to David Albo, Tonto National Forest spokesman.
