Pima backs cattle growers' forest preservation plan

The Arizona Cattle Growers Association is calling for a moratorium of the National Environmental Policy Act to allow logging and cattle operations to thin Arizona's forests...Groseta said while five years isn't long enough to encourage a business to open up a saw mill, it gets the loggers' feet in the door, and the sanctions would likely be extended after people see the results. He added that Representative Paul Gosar (R) LD1, will endorse the plan in Congress
