This past week, the U.S. Supreme Court held three days of hearings on the constitutionality of President Obama’s landmark legislation, the “Affordable Care Act (ACA),” and its federal health care mandate. Today the Obama Administration celebrated the fact that the national unemployment rate remains at 8.3 percent. Arizona's unemployment rate remains above the national average at 8.7 percent. Many of our rural counties suffer from unemployment rates that exceed 10 percent. The status quo is not praise worthy. We can do better.

U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar, DDS (AZ-01) and 181 other members today sent a bipartisan letter to Department of the Interior Secretary Ken Salazar requesting new, expanded access to offshore energy production in order to create new American jobs, reduce our reliance on foreign energy and generate new revenue.
