On Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in 1324 Longworth House Office Building, the Committee on Natural Resources will hold a markup on the following bills:

  • *H.R. 1408(D. Young), To provide for the settlement of certain claims under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, and for other purposes. “Southeast Alaska Native Land Entitlement Finalization and Jobs Protection Act”
  • H.R. 1904(Gosar), To facilitate the efficient extraction of mineral resources in southeast Arizona by authorizing and directing an exchange of Federal and non-Federal land, and for other purposes. “Southeast Arizona Land Exchange and Conservation Act of 2011”
  • H.R. 2011(Lamborn), To require the Secretary of the Interior to conduct an assessment of the capability of the Nation to meet our current and future demands for the minerals critical to United States manufacturing competitiveness and economic and national security in a time of expanding resource nationalism, and for other purposes. “National Strategic and Critical Minerals Policy Act of 2011”
  • H.R. 2150(Hastings-WA), To amend the Naval Petroleum Reserves Production Act of 1976 to direct the Secretary of the Interior to conduct an expeditious program of competitive leasing of oil and gas in the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska, including at least one lease sale in the Reserve each year in the period 2011 through 2021, and for other purposes. “National Petroleum Reserve Alaska Access Act”
  • H.R. 2170(Hastings-WA), Streamlining Federal review to facilitate renewable energy projects. “Cutting Federal Red Tape to Facilitate Renewable Energy Act”
  • H.R. 2171(Labrador), To promote timely exploration for geothermal resources under existing geothermal leases, and for other purposes. “Exploring for Geothermal Energy on Federal Lands Act”
  • H.R. 2172(Noem), To facilitate the development of wind energy resources on Federal lands. “Utilizing America's Federal Lands for Wind Energy Act”
  • H.R. 2173(Wittman), To facilitate the development of offshore wind energy resources. “Advancing Offshore Wind Production Act”
