Honoring Our Fallen Heroes!
This weekend, we remember and pay tribute to the fallen heroes who gave their all so that we may enjoy America’s freedoms. Let us honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the preservation of our democracy. We will never forget them. While today it may seem that many are trying harder than ever to take those freedoms away, I am thankful to God for the heroes that have died so that we can be free. We remember them all. We know who they are. We visit the cemeteries. We place poppies and flags on the gravesites and note the dates of their ages on their headstones. Their lives shortened because of their courageous, selfless acts and willingness to die for all of us today and for the generations of tomorrow. We know their loved ones, their wives, husbands, fathers and mothers. We know their children and their friends. They never asked for anything in return other than to be respected and remembered for serving our country. They were mostly ordinary men and women, who did something extraordinary. And we miss them all so very dearly. While sadness touches our hearts on this Memorial Day weekend, our hearts are also full. Warmed because brave men and women were willing to give all. So, on this unofficial first day of summer and in between barbeques, picnics, camping and outdoor fun, take a moment to reflect even for just a moment to think about and remember those men and women from our hometown and all across America who served and died. They will never be forgotten. Have a wonderful and meaningful Memorial Day!

Confirmation that We Are Making a Big Mistake in Ukraine
If you still had any doubt about what a big mistake the United States’ involvement in Ukraine is, comments from George W. Bush should settle the issue.
George W. Bush ran an inept presidency that sought out war and conflict all over the globe. The state department was run by neo-cons, under the guidance of war monger Vice President Dick Cheney, and they used our military like it was a toy. They invaded Iraq for no reason. Actually, they lied and made up a falsehood about "yellow cake" and weapons of mass destruction. They used our military to destroy Iraq, kill over a million Iraqis, while spending $1 trillion in the process. Along the way, they got 5,000 of our soldiers killed and tens of thousands more wounded.
Not content to destroy Iraq for no legitimate reason, they attacked Afghanistan. That country had done nothing to hurt the United States. They created a fake narrative that they were fighting a "war" against a feeling. That is, a "war on terror." In reality, they used our military to terrorize Afghans, have our soldiers killed and wasted hundreds of billions of dollars.
That all started under George W. It ended with a whimper and a big defeat under Biden when he retreated from Afghanistan after 20 years of war. Biden abandoned American citizens and others and left $80 billion of our military equipment as a gift to the Taliban.
I point this out because this week George W. Bush came out and expressed his strong support for war in Ukraine, saying the U.S. should essentially open a blank check book and spend our national treasure in yet another war. No doubt he would like U.S. troops sent there to die as well. Instead of picking on a small country like Afghanistan however, he wants us to fight nuclear armed Russia.
It is warmongers like George W. Bush that have caused death and destruction wherever they go. They have practically bankrupted our country. I stand for peace. I would like, and have offered to broker, an armistice. I stand firmly against the Nazi brigades in Ukraine, and against the authoritarian and corrupt government of Ukraine. I therefore stand against George W. Bush in this regard.
U.S. Funded Anti-Missile Program “David’s Sling” Intercepts Rocket into Israel from Gaza for First Time
As many of you know, I believe our taxpayer money is to be spent wisely, and there must be a benefit to America. Much of our foreign aid is wasted on countries that do not like us, and our aid serves no discernable purpose. There is one clear exception and that is Israel. With Israel, our two nations have established a partnership that has provided strong and tangible benefits to the United States. Our premier anti-missile batteries, the long-range Patriot Missile system and the midrange THAD missile system, would not exist without the joint research and development with Israel. Another medium short-range system is Israel’s David’s Sling air defense system. This too was U.S. created aid to Israel. This week, for the first time, this missile system successfully shot down an incoming rocket into Israel from Gaza. It has been reported that until now, the Iron Dome batteries was the main defensive weapon system used against rockets fired at Israel from Gaza or Lebanon. The medium-range David’s Sling now forms a part of Israel’s missile defense array, supporting the Iron Dome. Congress has provided $2.5 billion of our tax money to Israel for these programs since 2006, and American and Israeli researchers jointly developed these systems with a partnership between Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Raytheon in Tucson, Arizona. In short, our tax money used in Israel benefits our national security as our own military gets the military research and designs being tested in Israel so we have our own missile defense systems. To me, this is a partnership worth supporting.
Supreme Court Ruling is Win for Constitution, Farmers and Landowners
This week, the United States Supreme Court issued a decision in the case, Sackett v. the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which ruled in favor of the Sacketts, an Idaho family who have been in a 15-year battle with the EPA over plans to build a home on their residential land. You may recall I wrote about this important case in previous newsletters. If you missed them, don’t fret, you can can get caught up quickly by clickinghere and here. This unanimous ruling strikes down the EPA’s bizarre Waters of the U.S. (WOTUS) Rule under the Clean Water Act (CWA) is a win for the Constitution, farmers and private landowners who have suffered from years of unnecessary litigation.
Environmental radicals and climate alarmists claimed that even a pond in someone’s private backyard is subject to federal control. I have been fighting against the ridiculous EPA WOTUS rule since 2014. As past-Chairman of the Congressional Western Caucus, I led the fight against WOTUS from 2016 to 2020. I worked with President Trump, who wisely paused this WOTUS rule, only to see Mr. Biden recklessly pursue it. The Court has prudently struck down this egregious rule that has harmed Americans for years while bluntly taking the EPA to task for the magnitude of its overreach.

Gosar Votes To Stop Biden’s Illegal Student Loan Bailout
Also this week, I joined my Republican colleagues in voting in favor of H.J. Res. 45, legislation terminating Joe Biden’s illegal and unconstitutional effort to use federal tax payer money to give to students who refuse to pay their student loans. Last year, Biden’s Department of Education abused the authorities granted under the COVID-19 national emergency declaration to issue a rule to cancel some federal student loan debt, which would cost American taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars. Biden’s student loan scam would place a burden on the 100 million Americans who never went to college, while wiping out the debt of those who willingly took on, and have yet to pay off, their loans. This vote is a nail in the coffin of Biden’s fake campaign promise for a student loan bailout that was never intended to succeed and ended when H.J.Res.7, legislation I introduced terminating the COVID-19 emergency declaration, was signed into law by Mr. Biden on April 10, 2023.

Biden Regime designating Christians, Republicans as “Nazis” and “Terrorists”
In a shocking development, Media Research Center (MRC) has uncovered a secret government program under the auspices of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) whereby Christians, Republicans and conservatives are deemed “Nazis” and “white supremacists.” Included in these defamatory and malicious categories are Breitbart News and conservative media.
This comes as no surprise to me. Despite my vehement opposition to the ongoing support of actual Nazi brigades in Ukraine by our country using taxpayer money (not approved by Congress) and in spite of my 12-year record supporting Israel and Jewish causes, I frequently get labeled and smeared as a “Nazi” or a “supremacist” or “anti-Semite.” I can’t do anything about this according to the courts. We’ve been told we have no legal remedies and the media can simply lie. So they do, often. I can only share the truth here.
It is one thing for the media to lie. However, now they are working with our government through the DHS to broaden their defamation. As noted by the MRC, “a chart used by DHS and its grantee in a training program equates mainstream groups with militant neo-Nazis, including: The Heritage Foundation, Fox News, the National Rifle Association (NRA), Breitbart News, PragerU, Turning Point USA, the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), the American Conservative Union Foundation (ACUF) and the Republican National Committee, among others.”
In a grotesque defamation, the Leftists working with the DHS democrats “compared former President Donald Trump to Pol Pot and suggested Florida Governor Ron DeSantis might wish to start a second Holocaust.” Pol Pot, as many may know, was a brutal socialist dictator in Cambodia that murdered about 33% of the population in a genocide in the 1970’s. The Holocaust was a horrific event that resulted in the genocide and ethnic cleansing of at least six million Jews during World War 2. To accuse Ron Desantis or President Trump of this is a vile defamation. It also trivializes and demeans these historic events.
Bear this in mind: you will see conservatives like me and Ron Desantis and President Trump called defamatory names like “neo-Nazi” or “white supremacist.” Know that this is the leftist media working in tandem with the Biden regime to attack us. Stand in solidarity with us against these lies.
House Republicans Hold Hearing on Social Security Identity Theft
Many Americans, including my wife Maude and I, have had their social security numbers released publicly where unscrupulous people can attempt to commit identity fraud. Criminals can try to take out a loan or a credit card using that information, as well as other crimes. In response, this week Republicans on the House Ways and Means Committee held a hearing to see what improvements we can make to the Social Security agency to improve their lackluster response when identity theft occurs. In my case, radical democrats serving on the January 6th witch hunt committee, got my family’s social security number from the Trump White House records (when you visit the White House, your social security number is entered) and then the democrats released that information publicly. It is not clear if they are just completely incompetent (which could easily be the case) or they intended to harm people. The goal of the hearing was to get the Social Security Administration to take prompt action when identity information is breached. North Dakota Governor Kristi Noem testified at the hearing because her family’s private information was disclosed in the same manner as mine. She testified:
“My family has already had to spend time and money to protect ourselves from the government’s careless disclosure of our personal information, and already bad actors have tried to use that information to their advantage. It may be years before we experience the full impact of this disclosure, but for the foreseeable future, we must closely monitor every financial transaction we see, realizing there may be ones out there we never see. Congress needs to take steps to not only better protect the Social Security numbers of American citizens, but for those who do have their numbers compromised, at a minimum, make sure they are made aware of such a disclosure. Additionally, we must cut the bureaucracy and red tape one must go through when trying to navigate the cumbersome and difficult situation of replacing their own or their child’s Social Security number once it is compromised.”
House Judiciary Committee to FBI: Cough up the J6 Pipe Bomber
The House Judiciary Committee is tired of being lied to and strung along by the FBI about the RNC pipe bomber on J6. The FBI knows who the bomber is or should know by now. Every street near the Capitol has dozens of cameras. Every building has multiple cameras. Every intersection has cameras. And most of the houses have cameras. Read the letter here.

You are correct about the importance of the Durham Report. This is the biggest scandal and corruption in the history of our nation. If those involved at the FBI and other agencies are not prosecuted for seditious conspiracy little else will matter.

Thank you for that vote on student loan forgiveness. I must point out to you that the dem's student loan forgiveness scam is especially unfair to the responsible people who repaid their student loans. It is basically encouraging people to be irresponsible.
Lowell - Exactly! Millions of students diligently paid their loans back, sometimes at great sacrifice - often working two jobs, taking extra shifts, etc. If our country was not run by clowns, these responsible borrowers would be rewarded, not deadbeats and scofflaws.
