Gosar Votes Against Biden Pelosi Funding Plan
Since being elected to Congress, I have made it a major priority to end reckless spending. I strongly believe my voting record speaks for itself, but I can’t say the same for many of my colleagues in Congress. This week, 107 Republicans joined every democrat in voting to advance a budget written by Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi.
With a wide-open border, a fully weaponized federal government, numerous overseas conflicts, and a dangerous far-left administration pushing woke policies, I don’t have the time to play around. Instead of passing a sensible budget, Congress just passed another short-term continuing resolution instead, moving the deadlines to March 1st and March 8th of 2024. I’m disgusted that so many of my colleagues would betray their own constituents by claiming to be fiscally conservative but continuing to spend like drunken sailors. You can see for yourself who voted to kick the can down the road again –note I voted against this nonsense.
I am tired of Congress passing spending bills, whether they are CR’s or appropriations bill, that continue to lead this country further into financial ruin. I didn’t come to D.C. to support the same mistakes. We should vote on legislation that addresses the border crisis, the weaponization of government, and the woke nonsense from our military – at the minimum. I will continue to work to ensure we have budget bills which reflect American interests.
Democrats Join Republicans in Denouncing Biden’s Border Crisis
Despite constant pleas from the American people, Joe Biden and Secretary Mayorkas refuse to take action for their open-border policies that have led to the invasion along the southern border and a national crisis. In response, this week I joined my Republican colleagues and 14 brave democrats in voting in favor of H.Res. 957, legislation denouncing and condemning the Biden administration for its failed open-border policies. Since Biden took office, more than 10 million illegal aliens have entered the United States, including over 300,000 last month. The surge of illegal immigrants coming through the southern border is unsustainable. As I have previously noted, billions of taxpayer money is used to house the illegal aliens, feed them, provide health care, help obtain jobs and enroll their children into our schools. House Republicans passed H.R. 2, the strongest border security bill last year. But the Schumer Senate and Biden White House refuse to take it. Why? Because they would rather have a wide-open border than a safe America.
CDC Hides Dangers of COVID-19 Vaccine
It was reported this week that the Center for Disease Control drafted but held back a healthcare warning that the COVID-19 vaccine could cause myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart muscle, which can reduce the heart’s ability to pump blood. It turns out that the CDC was aware of reports of post-vaccination related myocarditis as early as January 2021, yet chose to hide the warning from the public. Over the past three years, doctors and scientists that have spoken out about their potential vaccine safety concerns were accused by the pharmaceutical industry (who made billions of dollars on the vaccine) and the Fake News of spreading vaccine “misinformation,” censured, sanctioned by medical boards and even had their medical licenses suspended. By failing to disclose this warning, the CDC also failed to protect us. How many people have died or now suffer from myocarditis because the CDC chose to conceal this information? Despite the uptick in cases, we will likely never know.
Justice Department FINALLY Admits Hunter Biden Laptop is Real
Stop the presses. After years and years by the Fake News and their democrat partners spent working tirelessly and in concert to bury a true and accurate story by the New York Post that a laptop abandoned in a Delaware repair shop belonged to Hunter Biden, the Biden Department of Justice finally admitted this week that the contents of laptop are real!
Why does this matter? The laptop has a trove of emails establishing bribery and corruption between Ukraine officials and the Bidens, including large sums of money. In short, the laptop has evidence of potential criminal activity by Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.
Recall just one month before the 2020 presidential election, 51 intelligence officials, all democrat operatives, signed a letter casting doubt over the legitimacy of the laptop and claimed, with no evidence, that laptop was consistent with Russian objectives. Twitter banned the story. Politico reported it as “Russian misinformation.” Mark Zuckerberg claimed it was a “hack and leak operation.” NPR discredited the story’s “many, many red flags.” The Bidens and the FBI said it was all a hoax, and blamed Russia.
All of it was true. You and I knew it. And the Department of Justice is finally acknowledging it, too. Better late than never, I suppose. I’m still waiting for their retraction - fat chance of that happening!
U.S. Treasury Department Spies on Trump Supporters
Stop me if you have heard this before: Joe Biden weaponized the federal government to go after his political opponents. Well, it has happened again. This week, the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government released documents detailing Biden administration officials at the Department of Treasury flagging banking transactions containing terms like “MAGA,” “Trump,” bible references and even firearms related transactions. You know what terms they didn’t flag? “Biden,” “America Last,” “Woke,” or “democrat.” Spying on a private citizen’s financial transactions simply because you oppose their political views is a serious civil liberties violation. The Department of Treasury, run by Biden appointee Janet Yellen, is an absolute disgrace. I’ve never seen such a flagrant abuse by the federal government. Oh wait, yes I have: the FBI, the DOJ, the IRS, the Department of Education…
SEC Withdraws NACs Rule
Over the past few months, many constituents have contacted me regarding Natural Asset Companies, or NACs. They’re essentially cabals of Wall Street Financiers and government elites, including foreign countries, who think they know how to manage your land better than the people who actually live there.
I have some good news: Biden’s latest land grab attempt has been foiled! Because of pressure from me and other members of congress, the Securities and Exchange Commission announced this week it was withdrawing its proposed rule that would have allowed foreign governments, including the People’s Republic of China, to invest in companies seeking to lock up public lands, including large farmlands and national parks. Be assured, the next time Biden’s corporate and foreign cronies crawl out for another land grab, I’ll be ready to beat them again.
What's Happening in Texas?
Texas Governor Abbott continued his principled exercise of state sovereignty and sent his National Guard troops to close portions of the border.
As I pointed out earlier in this newsletter, the Biden regime opened our borders and has invited over 10 million illegal aliens into our country…and counting. Biden, his Marxist democrat enablers and some weak Republicans, want millions of illegal aliens here in order to keep hourly wages low, crime high, and America in conflict.
Senator Lindsey Graham stated that he will be working with democrats for massive amnesty. He calls it "a path to citizenship" but make no mistake, it means amnesty. President Trump has stated that if he is elected, he will begin a massive deportation of the illegal aliens.
Governor Abbot, showing strength and resolve, sent his troops to secure the border last week. Predictably, the Biden Department of Justice has become hysterical, and the Department of Homeland Security is fuming that its unarmed agents were booted off the border by the competent and confident Texas soldiers.
The Justice Department has run crying to the courts to get an order to reopen the border. As it stands today, the Biden regime has partnered with the drug cartels and human traffickers. This is the largest human trafficking ring in history and your tax money is paying for it. Congress has not approved of this and the United States has laws, like every other country, to close the borders and to allow a process for legal immigration.
It is likely a far-left judge, probably flush with Soros money, will order Texas to stand down. We can hope that Texas will tell any corrupt court what it can do with its corrupt order.
Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, the area that Texas reclaimed from the feckless border patrol, is a park Biden used to welcome illegal aliens and process them. And by process them I mean give them money, housing, work permits, schools, hospital care, food stamps and other benefits. Indeed, illegal aliens are getting more taxpayer money than Veterans.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a solid conservative who believes in the rule of law, rightfully told the Department of Homeland Security to stuff it. “Because the facts and law side with Texas, the State will continue utilizing its constitutional authority to defend her territory, and I will continue defending those lawful efforts in court,” Paxton wrote in a letter to Homeland Security. Paxton also said that the Department of Homeland Security "should stop wasting scarce time and resources suing Texas, and start enforcing the immigration laws Congress already has on the books.”
Paxton is 100% correct.

I read your weekly newsletter, great job as always. As far as Hunter Biden goes, he NEEDS to be held in contempt of Congress if #1, he was legally served and #2 if he failed to appear at the directed time and date. Those are the ONLY times that need to be considered. As Joe has said in the past "no one is above the law." Failure to prosecute him on contempt of Congress, as well as the gun and tax fraud, would be a continued mockery of our justice system. It would directly show the American people of this nation there is and will continue to be a multi-tiered justice system. That also goes along with the need to fully investigate the Biden crime syndicate before the statute of limitations passes. Keep up the fight. We in Arizona and the USA are depending on people like you.
Scott, you're exactly right. Last week, I voted in favor of holding Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress for intentionally violating a lawfully issued subpoena last month and will do so on the House floor when the vote is scheduled. Unfortunately, in our two-tiered justice system, I suspect Hunter is used to getting away with breaking the law. There is ample and growing evidence connecting Joe Biden to Hunter’s influence peddling and shady business deals. The American people want and deserve to know the truth.

I am writing to ask you to ensure that the federal government does not shut down if all 12 appropriation bills are not enacted before the end of the current continuing resolution. Failure to do so could result in disruptions to services, furloughs for federal employees, and other unintended consequences.
For a quarter of a century, Congress has grappled with passing timely appropriations. Our nation’s servicemembers, veterans, their families, and survivors need and deserve better.
Without the necessary funding and authorities, federal agencies overseeing the eight uniformed services lack the authorizations or funding needed for the annual military pay raise, quality health care coverage, and quality-of-life programs for servicemembers and their families, along with many other support programs and benefits.
As your constituent, I urge you to fulfill your constitutional obligations and ensure the government continues to operate –and to finish the appropriations process for the fiscal year.
Doris, like you, I certainly prefer to keep the government open. As part of an earlier agreement, Congress should have passed all 12 appropriations bills. Instead, we’ve now passed a number of continuing resolutions to keep the government open. One would like to believe we learned from the last fight not to do another clean CR, but that’s exactly what we did this week. I voted against this backstab.
When the government shuts down, that means passport processing, applications for certain firearms, national park access, and many other services are all restricted. In the 2013 shutdown, about 40% of the executive branch’s workforce were put on unpaid furlough. One would like to think the government would take a break in oppressing its citizens, but that’s the last thing that’ll go. Not to mention shutdowns cost the taxpayers money. It’s not fair that Americans pay more for an ineffective government. As I mentioned at the top of this newsletter, I am tired of Congress passing short term spending bills which lead this country further into financial ruin. I didn’t come to D.C. to support the same mistakes. We should pass all twelve annual appropriations bills and stop the silliness.

Please vote no on the Schumer/Johnson spending bill. This $1.6-trillion-dollar budget agreement does nothing to secure the border, stop the invasion, or stop the weaponized government targeting Biden's political enemies and innocent Americans. The U.S. must cut spending before we fall off the cliff, which is already happening. Our children and grandchildren will suffer because of the horrible spending policies of the last 25 years. Use the power of the purse to defund this tyrannical regime!
Nicole, in its current form, rest assured that there is no way I can vote in favor of this spending bill. To get my support it should cut spending, include H.R. 2 - legislation that addresses the border crisis, and end the weaponization of government. This bill does none of that. I’ll be a “nay.” Also, you are right to be concerned about our children and grandchildren. It is criminal the amount of economic devastation we are leaving them. I will continue to stand against this waste and try to preserve our future.
