Remembering 9-11
This week marked the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on our nation when radical Islamic terrorists attacked our country. My heart continues to be with the families of the nearly 3,000 Americans who were murdered by the evil terrorists on that horrific day. I pray that the peace of God be upon them during this important time of remembrance. I am also incredibly grateful to our service men and women who continue to fight for our freedoms, often away from their families and in harm’s way.
Congressional Investigation Report: Biden and Harris Were Authors of the Debacle in Afghanistan
This week, the House Foreign Affairs Committee released a report detailing the findings from a three-year-long investigation into the deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.
The report confirms what I’ve said for three years: the incompetent Biden-Harris administration left billions of dollars in military equipment to our sworn enemies. Worse, Mr. Biden and Kamala Harris knowingly exposed our ground troops to hostile attacks, which led to the tragic killing of 13 American soldiers.
In fact, Joe Biden falsely claimed in June to be the first president in the last decade not to have U.S. service members die on his watch, ignoring and dishonoring the 13 Americans who died at Abbey Gate during Biden's disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. Let’s also not forget Vice President Kamala Harris boasting about being the last person in the room when Joe Biden made the call, despite the Fake News now insisting she had nothing to do with the disastrous withdrawal.
It is unconscionable that Mr. Biden and Kamala Harris continue to lie to the American people and the families of the fallen servicemembers.

Gosar Votes In Favor of American Sovereignty from the WHO
This week, I joined 218 of my colleagues in voting for H.R. 1425, the No WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty Without Senate Approval Act, legislation requiring that any international agreement on pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response reached by the World Health Assembly (WHA), be treated as a treaty, and therefore be ratified by a supermajority of the Senate as outlined in the Constitution.
The World Health Organization (WHO) embarrassed itself in the wake of COVID-19. They cozied up to China and fell for their lie that COVID-19 was a myth while the virus continued to spread. In fact, throughout the pandemic, the WHO praised China’s handling of the pandemic while the Chinese Communist Party worked to actively conceal vital health information and data and mislead the world about the seriousness of the pandemic and its origins. If the WHO had taken the virus seriously earlier, countless lives could have been saved.
My position is clear: I do not think the United States should contribute a dime to the WHO budget. In fact, I reject all types of international law. The United States is a sovereign nation whose citizens must decide for themselves the laws that bind them. Any language that comes before Congress that shifts power from American citizens to unelected globalist foreigners is dead on arrival for me.
Wisely, President Trump withdrew the United States from the WHO, in part, because of the response to their dishonesty and failures in handling the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Biden-Harris Administration rejoined.
Now the WHO is negotiating an international agreement that would define the responsibilities, preparedness, and response in the event of a future pandemic, giving the WHO power to dictate future U.S. pandemic policies and response. When it comes to the health and well-being of American citizens, no international body should tell the United States how to care for our citizens.
H.R. 1425 would safeguard and preserve American sovereignty by ensuring that our pandemic management policy is not handed over to international bureaucrats at the WHO and United Nations.
Survey Results: Congress Should Include the SAVE Act with Gov’t Funding
Last week I conducted a poll asking if House Republicans should vote to include the SAVE Act in legislation to fund the federal government.
Back up: the SAVE Act is legislation that would amend current law to require states to obtain documentary proof of United States citizenship when registering an individual to vote in a federal election, including for mail-in voting. With 13 million lawbreakers pouring across Border Czar Kamala Harris’ open border, the SAVE Act is a crucial step towards ensuring our elections are fair and honest.
Here are the results: 98.7% responded that Congress should include the SAVE Act while 1.3% opposed including it.
Update: Congress was supposed to vote on the SAVE Act and the government funding legislation this week, but like most things, Congress punted and failed to take it up. To avoid a government shutdown, Congress must fund the government by September 30th. We will try again next week.
Roundtable Wrap-Up!
Another packed room of constituents attended my Social Security roundtable in Bullhead City this Friday. As I have often said, I wholeheartedly believe that Social Security is a sacred trust. Social Security embodies the values of compassion to Americans who are retired, disabled, or the survivors of deceased workers. It is one of the most important programs in the United States, providing a safety net for millions of Americans. The fact that we had such a strong turnout shows just how important this issue is.
Many thanks to Jack Burns, Public Affairs Specialist for Arizona, Social Security Administration for providing expert advice and guidance to those with questions about their benefits. I also would like to thank Bullhead City Mayor Steve D’Amico for attending, the Mohave High School AFJROTC for presenting the Colors and Pastor Steven Brown from Praise Chapel for offering the invocation.
As always, if you are having any difficulty with obtaining your benefits or need assistance with any federal issue, please do not hesitate to stop by my office in Goodyear or call my office at 623-707-0530.

It’s Mail Time!
📬 I receive thousands of letters each week from constituents, and I appreciate hearing from everyone who writes me, even those who disagree. Here are a few letters I received this week:
📨 James B. from Goodyear, AZ wrote in:
The latest UN plan for us is seriously bad stuff for the United States.
✏ Thanks, James. Even just a cursory glance at Pact for the Future: Rev.3 reveals that it is a horrible document. Action 9, for example, says "[w]e will strengthen our actions to address climate change." Action 45 says "[w]e will increase our efforts to revitalize the work of the General Assembly." Remember, this is the same General Assembly that in 2022 passed more resolutions critical of Israel than all other nations combined, according to The Times of Israel.
I strongly believe that international agreements are generally a threat to our national sovereignty. The American People should never be subject to decisions made by the UN, or by other international organizations.
You can rest assured that I will remain vigilant in defending American sovereignty in the face of globalist entities that seek to undermine it. As I noted above, this week I voted in support of the No WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty Without Senate Approval Act, legislationrequiring that any international agreement on pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response reached by the World Health Assembly (WHA), be treated as a treaty, and therefore be ratified by a supermajority of the Senate as outlined in the Constitution. Americans must always come first. I will not allow Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, or other globalists to sell off the United States to the UN without a fight.
📨 Janice L. from Kingman, AZ shares:
After the findings [in the Afghanistan withdrawal investigation], Biden and Harris should not be allowed to run for any high office. This was gross negligence resulting in deaths.
✏ Janice, the findings in this report are deeply troubling. The lives of 13 Americans were taken, and it was completely preventable. However, no one has been held accountable - certainly not Joe Biden or Kamala Harris. The consequences of this disaster cannot be overstated. Here are more details from the report:
🚨 The Taliban is currently holding at least seven American citizens.
🚨 Under Taliban sanctuary, terrorists have thrived in Afghanistan, but we are poorly positioned to counter their threats. By all indications, the Taliban remains in close contact with ISIS-K and Al Qaeda leaders.
🚨 The Biden-Harris Administration has not conducted a single strike against ISIS-K since 2021, while the terror group has planned 21 external attacks in nine countries over the past year.
🚨 Since the Afghanistan withdrawal, hundreds of ISIS affiliates have crossed our Southern Border. The Intelligence Community continues to warn that, because of our reduced regional footprint, it lacks the intelligence to vet and monitor potential threats.
🚨 A 2022 New York Times investigation found that “nearly 500 former government officials and members of the Afghan security forces were killed or forcibly disappeared during the Taliban’s first six months in power.”
🚨 Afghan women are now slaves in their own country. They are not allowed to teach, work, study, travel, or leave the house without a male escort. They are not allowed to receive education beyond sixth grade. They are banned from showing their faces in public.
🚨In 2024, more than 230 girls in one province have reportedly been sold into marriage or are awaiting buyers – about 40 percent of the total.
