Gosar Demands Answers from CBP for Closing Lukeville POE
In response to the Custom and Border Patrol’s (CBP) decision to close the Lukeville Port of Entry (POE) this week with little public notice, I sent a letter to CBP Commissioner Troy Miller and Chief Patrol Agent John Modlin of the Tucson CBP Field Office demanding answers to the imprudent closure impacting more than 3,100 people who move through Lukeville POE every day.
Each day, thousands of people rely on moving through the Lukeville POE to work, vacation, study, visit family and receive medical care. Now Arizonans must go out their way and drive over 200 miles from Lukeville on routes deemed unsafe by the American Embassy in Mexico. Meanwhile, hundreds of illegal aliens continue to walk across the southern border near the Lukeville POE every single day.
While Biden coddles and welcomes hordes of illegal aliens, the administration is making it clear it prioritizes illegal aliens over American citizens by closing the Lukeville Port of Entry.

January 6th Committee Destroyed Evidence
Despite a demand by then incoming Speaker McCarthy, warning the House of Representative’s January 6th Committee to preserve all records, it turns out the committee instead panicked and destroyed reams of information. This is the same committee that withheld thousands of hours of video tape evidence from January 6th, and deprived criminal defendants of key evidence to prove their innocence.
Recently, my colleague Representative Loudermilk confirmed that the same committee destroyed the videotaped depositions of witnesses. These videotaped depositions are key in charging certain witnesses with perjury.
The question now is what Speaker Johnson is going to do? There are growing calls to establish a January 6th Truth and Reconciliation Committee to investigate the members of the original January 6th Committee who perjured themselves, lied to the American public, withheld key evidence, and engaged in a massive cover-up.
What do you think? Should Congress investigate and seek criminal charges against members of Congress serving on the House of Representatives January 6th Committee for destroying video evidence? Take my poll by clicking here.
ATF Ignores 40,000 Public Comments
The First Amendment of the Constitution protects the right of every American to petition their government for a redress of grievances. Yet, last week, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives rejected 40,0000 public comments from American citizens expressing concern over the agency’s proposed rule that defines the language related to Federal Firearms Licensees. In response, this week I joined 25 of my House Republican colleagues in sending a letter to the ATF asking why the petitions were turned away and demanding the petitions be included in the public comment process. This is a flagrant abuse of the First Amendment and an intentional attack on law abiding gun owners by gun-grabbing bureaucrats hoping to stall the delivery of public comments before the December 7 deadline.
Gosar Votes to Censure Congressman Jamaal Bowman
This week, I joined a majority of members of Congress in voting to censure New York democrat Congressman Jamaal Bowman for breaking the law by intentionally pulling a fire alarm during official House of Representatives proceedings to delay a vote on funding the government. It is a crime to falsely pull a fire alarm and Congressman Bowman has been charged and convicted of doing so. He should be expelled but that only applies to George Santos, oh wait: Rep. Santos has never been convicted.
Hunter Biden Says I’m Trying Kill Him
In a recent interview, Hunter Biden, the troubled son of Mr. Biden, accused Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene and me of “trying to kill him.” I don’t know why he said this. I have not spoken publicly about Hunter Biden very often and I have never urged harm to him.
A couple months ago I even defended Hunter Biden in that I questioned the constitutionality of his indictment on gun charges. Specifically I said: “No man is above the law, but no law is above the U.S. Constitution. As you all know, I am a self-defense and Second Amendment advocate,” Gosar said in his weekly newsletter to supporters Sunday. “That’s why I’m not too enthusiastic about the Hunter Biden indictment handed down this week.”
I am against public corruption, and I believe the evidence is compelling that Hunter and Joe Biden were bribed by Ukraine and China. However, on a personal level I wish them peace and health. I have sympathy for Hunter’s substance abuse issues. Drug abuse is a societal failure that affects millions, but not once have I wished harm on Hunter Biden nor would I ever.
I will continue to fight against public corruption. And I will continue to pray for the health and peace of all Americans, including Hunter Biden.
It’s Mail Time - Some Holiday Hate Mail!
I receive thousands of letters each week and I appreciate hearing from everyone, even those whose hearts are filled with hatred. Here are samples of some of the nasty letters I received this week:
John M. from Mesa, AZ shared this joyous note:
Why the hell are you concerned about the border? You and your jackass friends and the radical right can suck it.
John, I will tell you why I am concerned: because 10 million lawbreakers have invaded our border since Joe Biden took office. The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) released a report detailing the cost of illegal immigration to American taxpayers. According to the report estimates, taxpayers have forked over more than $180 billion since 2022 to provide services and benefits to illegal aliens and their dependents. Broken down, that means Americans pay $78 billion for these illegal aliens’ education, $42 billion for their healthcare, $13 billion for food stamps and welfare programs and $47 billion for criminal justice costs. It’s long past time we start taking care of our citizens rather than being a meal ticket for every lawbreaker crossing the border.
Kevin T. from Tempe, AZ screams:
F*ck Gosar and all the lying deceitful traitors that support him.
Kevin, your mom sure must be proud of you. Reasonable people can disagree but the cursing and name calling reflect very poorly and illustrate you lack the mental capacity to argue intelligently.
Michael S. from Buffalo, NY shares:
F*ck sick pathetic politician you’re a nobody.
Michael, I get why are upset: your beloved Buffalo Bills are having a bad season and Josh Allen leads the league in interceptions thrown. But don’t take your anger out on me. Find a better team to root for.
Thomas D. from Waddell, AZ writes hate notes frequently to me and shared this doozy this week:
Gosar: what a dick.
Thomas, find some joy this holiday season, would you? Merry Christmas!
