Gosar supports Legislation to Help Family Members of Those Killed by Illegal Aliens
This week I cosponsored the Justice for Angel Families Act, legislation amending the Crime Victims Fund (CVF) to expand funds to angel families. Angel families are the immediate relatives of victims of homicide by an illegal immigrant.
Because of Joe Biden’s deadly open border policies, countless families have been ruined by the savage deaths of their loved ones caused by the millions of illegal aliens being welcomed into our country. Expanding the Crime Victims Fund to include angel families will help support those whose lives have been forever destroyed by lawbreakers crossing our border.
Hunter Biden Indicted for Gun Form Charge Misses the Mark
No man is above the law, but no law is above the U.S. Constitution. As you all know, I am a self-defense and Second Amendment advocate. “The right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” is clear in our constitution.
That’s why I’m not too enthusiastic about the Hunter Biden indictment handed down this week. In my view, nobody should have to fill out a form and “get permission” from an unauthorized government agency to exercise their Second Amendment right. I realize this is splashing cold water on some folks who want the Biden crime family prosecuted. But there are high crimes, treason, and bribery that should be the focus of the Biden family prosecution.
There is ample evidence uncovered by myself and my colleagues on the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability showing Hunter Biden’s involvement in Joe Biden’s corruption. Joe Biden is the brand of the Biden family business, but Hunter Biden and associates also worked with “the big guy” to make money from U.S. taxpayers, Ukraine and other corrupt foreign countries. Hunter Biden and associates made more than $20 million dollars from Joe Biden’s corruption schemes. Hunter was even given a $142,300 sportscar from a foreign oligarch.
These lesser accusations against Hunter Biden related to firearm forms are another attempt by Biden’s Department of Justice to cover up their family’s major crimes and corruption. As President Trump noted: “the gun charge is the only crime that Hunter Biden committed that does not implicate Crooked Joe Biden.” These charges will not slow my work to hold Joe Biden accountable for abusing public office for his family’s financial gain.
Speaking of Joe Biden’s Corruption…
If you missed my special edition mid-week newsletter regarding the impeachment inquiry of Joe Biden, here it is its entirety:
This week, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced the opening a formal impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden in the United States House of Representatives.
I wholeheartedly support Speaker McCarthy’s decision to open an impeachment inquiry of Joe Biden.
The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, on which I, serve has methodically uncovered substantial evidence detailing multiple levels of corruption and impeachable offenses by Joe Biden.
Mr. Biden very well may be the most corrupt and incompetent president in American history. Every week, new revelations come out on how his dealings with foreign governments enriched him and his family at the expense of Americans.
When making his announcement, Speaker McCarthy thoughtfully explained the many allegations of the culture of corruption which led to this week’s decision to proceed with the impeachment inquiry.
They include:
- Biden lied to the American people about knowledge of his family’s foreign business dealings.
- Eyewitnesses have testified that Biden joined multiple phone calls and had multiple interactions, dinners, resulting in cars and millions of dollars to his son and his son’s business partners.
- Bank records show that nearly $20 million in payments were directed to Biden family members and associates through various shell companies.
- The Treasury Department, alone, has more than 150 transactions involving the Biden family and other business associates that were flagged as “suspicious activity” by U.S. banks.
- An FBI informant has alleged a bribe to the Biden family.
- Biden used his official office to coordinate with Hunter Biden’s business partners about Hunter’s role in Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company. Let’s not forget that in 2018, Joe Biden bragged about withholding aid to Ukraine when he was Vice President until this Ukrainian prosecutor was fired.
- Biden’s family has been offered special treatment by Biden’s own administration; treatment he would not otherwise have received if he were not related to the President.
- The National Archives has confirmed that Biden used as many as three aliases to hide his true identity when discussing bribes with overseas contacts.
It is also my firm belief that the bribes paid to Joe Biden by Ukraine are the reason the United States is now engaged in a proxy war with Russia at great financial cost to Americans and at great cost in lives lost of young men. Our role there is unnecessary and harmful and the bribery scheme getting us involved there will be exposed during this impeachment inquiry.
I could go on about all his failings of the American people, but I’ll cut to the chase: these are allegations that demand further investigation by the House of Representatives and the American people deserve to know the truth.
What’s next? The impeachment inquiry allows the Judiciary, Oversight and Accountability, and Ways and Means Committees to formally begin investigation of the evidence of Biden’s corruption. Based upon Speaker McCarthy’s announcement, the impeachment will focus on allegations of bribery by the Biden family, as well as corruption between Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden during business dealings. The next step is when House leadership determines enough evidence was acquired to impeach a president, the Committees will report specific articles of impeachment out of the committee for a House vote.
For further perspective on the impeachment inquiry, I encourage you to read this well-written articleby the Article III Project.
As I mentioned, I serve on the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, and I take seriously my role in this impeachment inquiry. I will follow the facts wherever they go. I will ask tough questions and will not shy away from getting to the absolute truth. I have no higher constitutional duty.
Biden Regime Illegally Censors Information and Tells Media What to Do
The Biden Regime has been engaged in active censorship of facts and information in an effort to lie to the American people and release misinformation and propaganda. Recently, a court issued a strong rebuke and ordered the Biden Regime to stop violating the Constitution, to stop censoring facts and information and to comply with the law. The Court in the State of Missouri vs Joseph R. Bidenconcluded that “Generally speaking, officials from the White House and the Surgeon General’s office had extensive, organized communications with platforms” and “coerced” Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and other platforms to lie about COVID-19 by only allowing government supported articles and opinions and to censor anyone who disagreed with Fauci and Biden.
The court found that the Biden regime engaged in massive, and illegal, censorship and “the [democrat] officials were not shy in their requests—they asked the platforms to remove posts “ASAP” and accounts “immediately,” and to “slow down” or “demote” content. In doing so, the officials were “persistent and angry.” Like most leftists, “persistent and angry” is their trademark. It was also revealed that democrat activist Katie Hobbs petulantly demanded social media companies to censor her opposition. No one who believes in censorship should be in public office. We value freedom of speech in America.
Earlier this week the Biden White House sent out a directive to CNN, NBC, ABC and all mainstream media outlets demanding that, instead of covering the impeachment proceedings against Biden and his corruption, to instead ignore that and focus on harming Republicans. Biden’s staff instructed its lap dog media that: “It’s time for the media to ramp up its scrutiny of House Republicans for opening an impeachment inquiry.” In other words, the Biden White House appears to control the main stream media, or at least thinks it does, and openly collaborates with these “news” agencies on creating a fake news story instead of focusing on the corruption in D.C. This should be added to the list of offenses for impeachment.
The takeaway was clear: do Biden’s bidding, or else. As George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley noted, “The letter removes any pretense of separation between the Biden personal legal team and the White House Counsel’s office.”
When it comes to Washington, D.C., Americans deserve truth and transparency, nothing less.

9/11 Remembrance
This week marks the 22nd anniversary of 9/11 when Saudi-trained radical Islamic terrorists attacked our country. We will never forget those who lost their lives and remember the service to our nation by our military and First Responders who helped our country recover from that sickening day.
Sadly, in a slap in the face to those who perished, Mr. Biden chose to abandon the 9/11 memorial sites in NYC, the Pentagon and Shanksville, choosing instead to travel to Alaska to announce more pipelines shut down. Biden is the first president to not visit a 9/11 memorial site. Worse, Biden is considering plea deals for five 9/11 terror suspects, including the principal architect of the attacks, that would spare them the death penalty. This is a bitter insult to the surviving families and all those who died on September 11, 2001.
It’s Mail Time!
I receive a lot of mail every month from constituents, and I love hearing from everyone. I try my best to respond to everyone who writes. Here is a small sample I received this week:
Mike G. from St. Johns, AZ writes:
Thank You Congressman Gosar for being just what you are: MY Representative!!!!! Please keep up the good work! You have my undying support!
Thank you, Mike! I will never stop fighting to get this country back on the right track. You have my undying pledge to support the principles that once made us great.
Fred W. from Bullhead City writes:
Glad to see you’re on the right side of this issue he (Biden) needs to be held accountable.
Fred. I’d like to think I’m on the right side of every issue but no one is perfect, except Jesus. In truth, it’s not just Biden and his corruption that needs accountability. We have Secretary Mayorkas who needs to be impeached for opening our borders and bringing in eight million illegal aliens in 2.5 years. We have the goofy General Mark Milley, who should be tried for treason for his role in the death of 13 military members in Afghanistan, abandoning U.S. citizens, and collaborating with the Chinese in a plot to undermine President Trump—as well as engaging in an insurrection with Nancy Pelosi during the January 6 riots. He met with Pelosi to plot to withdraw and withhold security. He is a menace to our country.
Ruby M. from Bullhead City offers:
You stated in your email about an impeachment inquiry of President Biden: "Mr. Biden very well may be the most corrupt and incompetent president in American history. Every week, new revelations come out on how his dealings with foreign governments enriched him and his family at the expense of Americans"
Perhaps you are thinking of former President Trump. He is corruption personified, and I cannot believe you continue to support him. I think if the right-wing voters in your district were to disapprove of him, you would "change your mind." It's all about the vote for you, not what is right for our country as a whole.
Ruby, I’ll send you some back issues of the Gosar Newsletter. Here’s a link to last week’s newsletter to get things started. You need to be better informed. First, I support President Trump because we had the best country and best economy in our lifetimes under his leadership. If everybody in Bullhead City decided tomorrow to support Chris Christie, I guarantee you my support for Trump would not waiver.
Second, what you are seeing with Trump is an unprecedented legal warfare against him by far-left Marxists supported and propped up by the Marxist George Soros. Whether it’s his personal documents at Mar-a-Lago, or his right to speak out about his own election, none of that was wrong or illegal. In stark contrast, corruption is being bribed with $20 million by Ukrainians and Chinese governments, which is what Biden and his crime syndicate have taken.
We have handed over $100 billion of our money to Ukraine as a result of the Ukrainian bribes and have promoted death and destruction instead of peace. That $100 billion should be building highways and bridges in our country. Or paying social security. As I’ve said: Biden is the most corrupt president in U.S. history.
Finally, Bruce P. from Yuma shares:
I would like to say that the last two weekly newsletters were outstanding in the mail section. The comments made on several issues that have been of concern to me were spot on and well put to pen. I have wanted to make my opinions known to you on most of the issues you are working on but those commenters beat me to it. That being said, let me say that I strongly support nearly all of your agenda. I would like to speak about a couple of issues though and how much I appreciate your efforts to their end.
First is Ukraine. When the war first started, I disagreed with you somewhat as I thought the aggression was soley on the part of Russia, and I supported Ukraine’s self-defense, even though I knew of the corruption in the Ukrainian government and the Bidens’ connection. Now I am on board with you in not supporting the continued war for many of the reasons stated in the weekly newsletter. In particular, there seems to be no negotiating on the part of the Biden Department of State to broker a truce and cease fire to this ugly war. There is no reason for support of a Ukraine with its current Government ideology. By the way, where is the UN in all of this? Not a word in the news about any UN efforts to stop this war. I have been around for awhile, and served in the Navy during the Cold War and Vietnam war. In my opinion, while Russia is not to be fully trusted, they are not our main enemy. China and Iran are the ones to worry about. And perhaps our biggest enemy is ourselves. I read this morning the comments made by Biden in North Vietnam that he wanted China to succeed economically. How does a U.S. President put the economic interest of a foreign power before our own economic success? Shame on Biden.
Let me touch on another pet peeve. I have been a life-long Republican, but I have to say I am not happy with the Grand Old Party of today. Other than you and a couple of other Arizona Republican Representatives, it seems many have lost the core values the Party stands for as provided in the Constitution. The Party is disjointed and not together on any viable platform. They need to come together especially in the face of the corrupt news and social media that loves picking apart with misleading comments the conservative values.
On the issue of Social Security, taxing Social Security is flat wrong. Put in place under Bill Clinton and a Democratic majority in the house, and supported by a few misled Republicans, they said it was taxes on Trust money (that’s a laugh), earned above what the individual put into the Trust fund. It is still wrong to tax any of that money. I fully support your efforts on the fiscal issues you are working on, thanks.
Let me finish by thanking you for keeping up the good fight for less government at the Federal level and staying on the conservative side of governing. I wish you well. Thanks for listening.
Bruce, great letter. You are very articulate. I appreciate your thoughts and I hope the 330,000 people who receive this newsletter appreciate it as well. I cannot add anything to your thoughts other than to say thank you for being a great citizen and a great American. Feel free to write any time. I hope to see you the next time I’m in Yuma.
