Washington, DC – Representative Paul Gosar, DDS (AZ-04) issued the following statement after the Biden administration released new data showing nearly 165,000 illegal aliens crossed the southern border in February.

“165,000 illegal aliens crossed our open southern border in February, a 280 percent average increase from any previous February that Donald Trump was President.  Along with these lawbreakers came another 635 pounds of deadly fentanyl and 12,500 pounds of methamphetamine. 

Joe Biden continues to push Far-Left open-border policies and mass amnesty, which have created the worst border crisis in history. The border crisis is directly contributing to the fentanyl crisis in America. 

Yesterday, I held a roundtable discussion in Goodyear, Arizona to talk about the impact if fentanyl. I heard firsthand accounts from families and law enforcement officials.  The message was resounding: fentanyl is plaguing our communities.  It is poisoning our kids.  It is devastating families.

Our border is a war zone as our Border Patrol Agents have been abandoned by the Biden administration and the border crisis grows worse every month.  Americans are fed up with Biden’s open border policies and our borders need to be secured now,” concluded Congressman Gosar.
