Washington, DC -- Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-09), issued the following statement after voting in support of H. Res 918, legislation formally directing certain committees to continue their ongoing investigations as part of the existing House of Representatives inquiry into whether sufficient grounds exist for the House of Representatives to exercise its Constitutional power to impeach Joe Biden:
“For nearly a year, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee on which I serve, has vigorously pursued all the facts related to Joe Biden’s involvement in the Biden Crime Syndicate’s public corruption schemes, including the tens of millions of dollars funneled to the Biden family by corrupt regimes overseas. The evidence of exploitation and bribery is overwhelming.
The contrast between the care being taken in this investigation to afford due process, and to be fact-based, when compared to what the democrats did on the Russian collusion hoax, an impeachment based on lies, and President Trump’s phone call to Ukraine is quite stark. Obviously, any president is free to make phone calls on any topic. To impeach President Trump because he made a phone call made a mockery of Congress. By contrast, the Republican’s impeachment inquiry is fact-based, grounded in reality, and rooted in the desire to stamp out public corruption at the highest levels.
I voted to take the next step in formalizing the impeachment inquiry. This is an important step as part of our Constitutional duty to continue conducting the investigation concerning Joe Biden’s repeated lies and everchanging story about his involvement in his crime family’s business activities,” concluded Congressman Paul Gosar.
