July Border Crossings Reach Record Low
This week, the U.S. Border Patrol released new data showing a record low of 4,399 apprehensions at the southwest border in July 2025. Take a guess how many of those were caught and released into our country? ZERO. For the third month in a row, no illegals were set free. Fulfilling another campaign promise, President Trump’s border policies are shutting down illegal border crossings. For greater perspective, the average number of apprehensions per day this past July was 141. In stark contrast, under Joe Biden’s time in office, there were an average of 8,057 crossings per day – the majority of which were released into our country.

President Trump Gets a Major Court Win on Immigration Policy
Speaking of illegal aliens, as we all know, left-wing activist judges have been engaging in an all-out war against President Trump and trying to stop him from keeping America safe. Thankfully, as the cases get reviewed, the illegal actions by the lower courts are getting overturned.
In a significant legal victory this week, a federal appeals court tossed out a contempt of court ruling that had been issued against the Trump administration by the Obama-appointed leftist Judge James Boasberg. Earlier this year, Judge Boasberg held Trump Administration officials in contempt for invoking the Alien Enemies Act to deport criminal Venezuelan illegal aliens.
In its decision, the appeals court ruled that Boasberg’s decision represented an “improper use of the contempt power” and exceeded his judicial authority. Which we all knew. The appeals court reinforced the Trump administration’s position that it acted within its lawful authority to protect national security and enforce immigration laws.
Let's hope the other Democrat activist judges get the message.

Gosar Gets Around Town: District Highlights!
It’s August, which means it’s district work period and a time that I crisscross the Ninth Congressional District to meet with constituents, attend community events and tour local businesses. It’s a prime time to hear directly from the great people I represent: YOU!

It was a busy week and the best part of my job! Some highlights include attending the Mohave County Public Lands and Recreation Commission’s weekly meeting. At the meeting, members of the Commission and I discussed the importance of fire and land management practices, protecting our water and the role that mining is to Mohave County’s future.

Also this week, I had the opportunity to tour Mohave College to see firsthand the skills training and education programs available to students. Mohave College is the premier workforce training center in our region and does a phenomenal job ensuring graduates are well-prepared to enter the workforce.

Later in the week, I caught up with the Kingman City Manager Tim Walsh, Assistant City Manager Tina Moline, and all the good people at the Kingman Airport and Industrial Park. As the largest industrial park in Northern Arizona, the area serves as a fundamental piece of the Kingman transportation network and serves many businesses operating throughout the region.

Last, but not least, I attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house at the brand-new Convergence Health Outpatient Center in Lake Havasu City. Rather than driving long distances, the new surgery center will allow patients to be served right in Lake Havasu City.
