Happy Halloween!
I Hope you are blessed with fabulous treats and no tricks. Have a fun and safe Halloween!
Update on Speaker’s Race
This week, I cast my vote in support of my good friend, Congressman Mike Johnson of Louisiana, to lead our country as the next Speaker. It was a healthy debate among House Republicans over the last few weeks as to who should lead our conference. Democrats don’t value debate and discussion and line up and do what they are told. Republicans, as most of you know, are free thinkers and are willing to engage in civil discussions and present their best argument. That trait played out nationally and the result is a new Speaker.
It is my expectation that Speaker Johnson will govern alongside House conservatives to pursue an agenda that includes funding the government through the individual appropriations bills. I also expect transparency, an open process with opportunities for debate and amendments, and single subject bills. Speaker Johnson stated that he is committed to defunding woke and weaponized federal programs and he will use all available tools to confront and restrain the failed, America Last Biden administration.

House Passes Resolution Standing with Israel
Once sworn in, Speaker Johnson and House Republicans hit the ground running. Wasting no time, the House overwhelmingly voted on a resolution showing solidarity with Israel as it defends itself against the barbaric war launched by Hamas. Nine ardent antisemitic democrats, all far-leftists, voted to support terrorism and to support Hamas. So they voted against this resolution backing Israel. Another six antisemitic democrats voted “present,” which means they supported Hamas terrorism but were too afraid to anger their voters with an actual yes vote.
September Border Crossings Shatters All Previous Records
The Biden administration recently announced that 269,735 illegal aliens illegally crossed the southern border last month, shattering any previous month for illegal aliens ever recorded.
Since Biden took office, nearly nine million illegal aliens have invaded our country. That brings the total number of illegal aliens in the U.S. to 40-50 million. Billions of your tax money is being spent, without congressional authorization, to transport, house, provide medical care and feed these illegal aliens. Meanwhile, American veterans and citizens are getting evicted, sleeping on the streets and living in despair. The Biden regime’s malicious actions to destroy America will take years to fix. In addition, 169 terrorists already on the terrorist watch list, including another 18 in September, have crossed the southern border in the last year. It gets worse: more than 27,000 tons of fentanyl have crossed the southern border in the past year.
The invasion at the southern border is a direct result of the Biden Regime’s radical open border policies that have turned every community into a border community, jeopardizing our national security.

Gosar Recognized by Family Research Council for Unwavering Commitment to Faith, Family and Freedom
This week, I was honored by the Family Research Council (FRC) for defending faith, family and freedom by scoring a perfect 100% with my votes last year. As your representative in Congress, I have consistently stood up for life, family, and religious liberty and fought back against the most egregious elements of the Biden Regime’s radical Left agenda.

Gosar Requests Information Concerning Secretary Haaland Unethical Misbehavior
Transparency is key to ensuring federal agencies and the White House act impartially and government officials are the best qualified to perform their role in government. No government official should ever give preferential treatment to an outside organization or individual, unless of course you are Joe Biden or a member of his cabinet.
This week, House Committee on Natural Resources Chairman Westerman and I sent a letter to Department of the Interior Secretary Haaland and Departmental Ethics Office Director Gottry probing further into evidence that Secrtary Haaland misused her position for the potential benefit of a nonprofit, the Pueblo Action Alliance (PAA), and used her position to endorse PAA’s work. PAA’s domestic work includes efforts to block domestic energy production in America and one reason why you are paying $5 bucks a gallon for gasoline when filling up your vehicle.
I remain deeply concerned with Secretary Haaland’s lack of impartiality with matters concerning PAA as well as the possibility that another member of the Biden Crime Syndicate may have misused her position to benefit the PAA.

It’s Mail Time!
I received over 7,000 letters in October and I appreciate hearing from everyone. Here are a sample of some of the letters I received this week:
Ivy H. from Surprise, AZ hands down wrote the best letter this week:
Leadership
Mental haze constant daze
Biden crowd sets world ablaze
Can we survive this Leftist craze?
Bidenomics a Bankruptcy plan. Squeeze the taxpayers. Americans! be damned
Squad spews hate and wants you dead
Oh! Dread. Just you wait
Blindfold off our justice rails throwing opposition in jails
Border gone! Illegals flow bringing lots of pills and blow
Are we bound for "Never More"? Raven's shadow on the door.
Thank you, Ivy! I love your poetry!
Sarah M. from El Mirage, AZ shares:
I'm writing to express my strong opposition to President Biden and the U.S. in supporting Israeli defense. Biden and the U.S. str actively supporting a genocide of the Palestinian people and have turned a blind eye to the demands of the American people to stop it. I want to make it clear that I and many others will NOT vote for any representative who supports genocide. If you value true democracy, you will not support any resolutions or requests that further support the Israeli defense or continued attack on the Palestinian people.
Hello Sarah. I respect your views here. I too am troubled by the collateral war damage that has resulted in thousands of civilian deaths. At the end of the day, it comes down to this: Hamas attacked first and targeted Israeli civilians, mainly unarmed women and children, in a brutal massacre. Israel owes its own civilians security and protection. It must eliminate Hamas in response to the massacre. The death and destruction were caused by the Hamas' terrorist attack.
Every child or civilian in Gaza who has died in the conflict since October 7 would be alive today if Hamas did not declare war on Israel.
Sadly, once war is declared, you can’t undo the harm and what’s to come.
When Japan attacked the U.S. at Pearl Harbor, we had to go to war to defend our people. Millions of Japanese ended dying, both civilians and military. The cause and the fault rest squarely with the Japanese. The same is true here with Hamas. I wish Hamas would leave Israelis to live in peace. They chose war. They chose death. They are reaping what they sowed.
I remain firm in my support of Israel. I hope Hamas can be eliminated with the fewest casualties to civilians as is possible.
Jack N. from Phoenix is fed up and writes:
Perhaps Mr. Gosar can lead the way. He is a beacon for good. The president and secretary of DHS (I know, a joke) are violating U.S. law. Gather up the Republican members of the House and Senate and march down to the White House and protest, then impeach both for knowingly violating U.S. Immigration statutes. This is not rocket science here. An outright show of solidarity is the only way to get some attention. It isn’t the few conservatives in the party that will make this happen on their own. It speaks volumes that few Congress men/women
seem to care about runaway spending and abdicating law/order and citizenship in this country.
Jack, you’re not wrong. Biden and Mayorkas are working in concert to destroy America. Both should be removed from office. I intend to use my voice on the House Oversight and Accountability Committee as much as possible to bring to light this administration’s carnage.
Lastly, Karen L. from Florence, AZ chimes in:
After reading Mr Gosar's update on the border issue, I am beyond mad. Thank you for standing your ground and for taking Arizona's side. Not one more dime for anyone else until we take care of our own borders. We are the laughing-stock of the world. Continue to speak loudly and speak on behalf of AZ.
Dear Karen, I understand why you are mad. I’m upset, too. The unprecedented crisis at our southern border is a direct result of Joe Biden’s radical open border policies that have turned every community into a border community, jeopardizing our national security and ruining our country.
