Huge Crowd Participates in Pro-life Roundtable
Earlier this week, I hosted an important pro-life roundtable in Yuma, Arizona to discuss the recent decision Dobbs by the Supreme Court overturning the immoral and unconstitutional Roe v. Wade.
Every unborn child is precious, innocent and worthy of protection, and the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade will save COUNTLESS innocent lives, but we must continue to fight against far-left democrats' taxpayer-funded-abortion-on-demand-until-birth agenda. Democrats are hell-bent on codifying Roe v. Wade and they want to legalize abortion for all nine months of pregnancy across the country while undermining the health and safety of women.
Their radical agenda includes creating a national standard to allow for abortions of unborn children for any reason and at any stage of pregnancy up until birth even though 80% of Americans say that abortion should be illegal in the third trimester. They even want to override existing pro-life laws and prohibit states like Arizona from enacting legislation or enforcing laws that protect unborn children.
I will not stand for federal interference with state’s rights. There is no federal preemption of state laws in this regard, and Arizona would do well to ignore any federal statute should Congress be so arrogant as to enact one.
Egregiously, Leftists in congress recently passed legislation preventing states from enacting laws to ensure parental involvement for minors or laws to protect women from coercion while undermining parental consent for minors to travel across state lines.
There were some great questions asked, and some that we still have to address. How to expand family friendly policies, including tax credits for every child, including the elimination of federal income taxes if you have four or more children are on the table and ready for more discussion. 
Rest assured that I will fight any attempt to empower the genocide of our innocent unborn babies. I want to sincerely thank everyone who attended my roundtable and shared their views and personal stories.
Gosar Leads the Way to End COVID National Emergency
When is a “national emergency” over? Since 1976, when the National Emergencies Act was enacted, 79 emergencies have been declared; 37 have expired and another 42 are currently in effect, each having been renewed annually by the president. There are currently six “national emergencies” that Bill Clinton declared 30 years ago. A presidential declaration of emergency usually waives laws and restrictions to get something done faster.
Did you know? Just after Biden was put in office, the democrats ended President Trump’s National Emergency Declaration declaring a National Emergency Concerning the southern border of the United States? President Trump declared the open border a "major entry point for criminals, gang members, and illicit narcotics" into the United States. That was true then and is even more true now. In a push for open borders and chaos, the democrats terminated that emergency order. Meanwhile, other goofy orders remain on the books for decades.
If you missed my special midweek newsletter on my efforts in Congress to end the national emergency concerning COVID-19 here’s a link to that newsletter. It gets a little wonky but here’s the gist of my efforts:
On February 18, 2022, Joe Biden extended the COVID-19 national emergency beyond March 1, 2024, which is total silliness given the pandemic is over and peoples' lives have returned to normal. The original emergency was enacted by President Trump at the beginning of the pandemic, under the authorities granted in the National Emergency Act (NEA). Among the many powers, the national emergency declaration allows Mr. Biden the ability to draft Americans without consent and place the Public Health Service under military control.
A provision in the NEA requires Congress to review and consider termination of national emergencies, basically every six months. Over the past year, House Speaker Pelosi has thwarted every attempt I’ve made to terminate the COVID-19 national emergency by changing the rules to prevent this from happening, thus handicapping Congress checking the powers of the executive branch.
Fortunately, members of Congress have a little used but very important tool to force a vote on legislation that has significant support but is being blocked from consideration and it’s called a discharge petition. In a nutshell, once 218 members of Congress sign the petition, it must be voted on.
As of this week, 111 members of Congress have signed my Discharge Petition #12 that would force Speaker Pelosi to bring my resolution to the House floor for consideration and terminate the COVID-19 emergency declaration once and for all. Momentum is gaining on my important discharge petition, and I will be sure to keep you updated.
Speaking of COVID-19, Did You Hear Who Has Cancer…err…COVID?
Earlier this week, Joe Biden announced to the world that he HAS cancer. HAS. As in present-tense. Well, turns out that was a lie. Another lie. But he does have COVID and maybe dementia. Yep, it’s true. Despite being double-vaccinated and double-boosted, Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19 this week.
Remember back on July 21, 2021 when Biden lied yet again to the American people and said:
“You’re not going to get COVID if you have the vaccinations.”
And who can forget Biden’s farcical threat of a looming “Winter of Death” when on December 14, 2021 he said:
“For the unvaccinated, you’re looking at a winter of severe illness and death for yourselves, your families, and the hospitals you may soon overwhelm.”
Of course, no such thing occurred. It was a relatively mild winter and no hospital was overwhelmed.
Anyone else notice the difference with how the media reacted to President Trump’s positive COVID-19 result versus how they are reporting on Joe Biden? I encourage everyone to read this article published in the Federalist this week highlighting the media’s double standard as it sugarcoats Biden’s illness.
Meanwhile, our military service members continue to be fired for not taking a shot that clearly does not stop the spread of COVID-19.
Our country is a mess right now. Glenn Beck reported that with male leadership like this, foreign leaders are laughing at us and mocking our weakness. Lest you need to be reminded, this is a picture of the Biden regime's so-called leadership:
Gosar Urges House Take Up Expedited TSA Screening for Veterans
This week, I sent a letter to Speaker Pelosi demanding the House of Representatives immediately vote on the Veterans Expedited TSA Screening Safe Travel Act, a bicameral/bipartisan bill I introduced that provides expedited security screening under the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) PreCheck® program to severely injured or disabled veterans.
There are approximately 70,000 veterans with an amputation and over 130,000 veterans who are legally blind in the United States. When many of them travel through airport security with their wheelchair, prosthetics, or other assistive device, it can be a challenge.
Under my legislation, the Department of Veterans Affairs would certify that a veteran is severely injured and therefore eligible to apply for the TSA PreCheck® program free of charge. This benefit is already offered to Active Duty, Reserves and National Guard servicemembers.
Two weeks ago, the Senate passed this measure, and now it is time the House takes it up so we can get it swiftly signed into law and show our gratitude to our veterans for their service.

Assassination Attempt on Rep. Lee Zeldin
I serve with Congressman Lee Zeldin in the House. He is a great guy, and currently running for Governor of New York.
This week a crazed assassin tried to stab him in the neck. He is fine, but his assassin has been released without bond. Seems it is open season in New York on good people and criminals keep getting released.

Before you leave us could you explain to me why we sent oil out of our reserves to China? I am so confused by this. Was this a payback to China on behalf of Hunter? Hunter has been under investigation since 2018. The FBI has his laptop with all the evidence they need. Allegedly Hunter has child pornography on his laptop. The president said he had no dealings with Hunter's business associates, but the laptop has evidence that he did.
When will the madness stop? When will the two-tiered justice system stop?
Thanks for the thoughtful note, Joseph. Biden’s decision to export overseas five million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve is deeply troubling.
First, Mr. Biden ended all new oil and gas leases and halted the Keystone Pipeline, a major jobs creator estimated to have a transport capacity of 800,000 barrels of oil a day. This administration has created the oil and gas supply chain crisis. Biden’s manufactured supply chain crisis, combined with the crippling inflation caused by his reckless spending, have caused oil and gas prices to reach an all-time high.
This latest ruse is another example of Biden’s America Last policies. To lower gas prices, Biden has been depleting 260 million barrels of oil from our nation’s emergency Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Troubling, over five million barrels from the reserve went overseas including one million that were sold to a Chinese-controlled gas company. Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, is tied to the Chinese company that benefited from the sale. As Americans struggle with crippling inflation and the devastating effects of illegal lockdowns that coast countless jobs and wages, Biden sold America’s emergency oil to an adversary.
Releasing the oil hasn’t lowered the prices of gasoline but it has compromised America’s ability to manage an incoming energy crisis.
Gas remains at record prices due to the Biden regime’s incompetence and America Last policies.
