Gosar Travels to Hungary
This week, I had the honor to be invited to Hungary and to meet with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. The story of the Hungarian resurgence, its prosperity and its calmness while being surrounded by chaos, is an inspiration to the world. Prime Minister Orbán took a country left in ruins by the socialists—a result repeated around the world by all socialist governments—and set about rebuilding his nation from the ground up by focusing on families, border security and building its own economy. And it worked beyond all expectations.
While there, I had the opportunity to speak and what follows are my remarks in their entirety:
Good afternoon.
My name is Congressman Paul Gosar and I represent Arizona’s ninth congressional district in the United States House of Representatives.
It is a privilege and honor to visit your beautiful country and to be with you today.
One of the reasons I was proud to accept your invitation to come here is because this country, Hungary, in Central Europe, has steadfastly upheld its culture, its traditions, its religion, its families, and its people.
Hungary honors its ancestors by preserving the hard-won culture it has created.
Hungarians suffered, fought, bled and died for the freedoms its culture now represents.
From the time of King Saint Stephen, through the Mongol invasion, the Ottomans and the Soviet Communists, Hungarians have resisted and persevered.
Your ancestors paid with their lives so you could have the great country you have today.
That is why you, today, the beneficiaries of your ancestor’s sacrifice, fight to defend your culture, your language, your border, and your values.
Following the Golden Bull of 1222, much like the English Magna Carta, the principle that a nation exists to protect and preserve its people was developed.
Today’s Hungarian government stands as a proud descendant, taking actions as a government that helps its people.
It is not Hungary’s job to assist the globalists.
It is not Hungary’s job to assist the warmongers, constantly seeking to engage in armed conflict.
It is not Hungary’s job to bow to the latest fad, whether it be to chemically castrate your boys or pretend that there are no differences between men and women.
It is not Hungary’s job to open its borders to every economic opportunist, none of whom share your values and none of whom can offer one tangible benefit to the people of Hungary, but all of whom can ensure social chaos.
It is not Hungary’s job to abandon Christianity and to join the depraved secularists, the leftists, the Marxists all with their insane ideas that promote crime, promote abortion and death, promote child sex abuse and child sexual grooming, promote the destruction of the nuclear family, and promote the well-being of other nation’s peoples over your own indigenous Hungarians.
To be candid, Hungary stands today as a beacon in
the West.
A monument of faith in itself.
A testament to a people, and its leaders most importantly, who understand the sacrifices made to create Hungary and know the sacrifices that are needed to keep Hungary a Christian nation with proud, healthy families, untouched by the sickness of the left and their depravities.
Today, we refer to the bundle of insane ideas from the left
as “wokism.”
But in reality, it is demonic. It is un-Christian.
It is destructive and you are right to oppose it and fight to retain your culture.
Sadly, in America, wokism is polarizing our great nation, censoring free speech and destroying our society.
Individual achievement, responsibility and self-worth have been replaced with victimhood, entitlement, laziness, resentment, labelling, intolerance and hatred.
Wokism denigrates conservative values, muzzles dissent, and cancels the foundation of a healthy and free society.
Hungary, by contrast, has rejected wokism and has exposed
its absurdity.
Hungary has not surrendered to leftists hellbent on shattering its traditional values, cultures, Christian heritage, and nationalism.
Satanic individuals seek to destroy the soul of Hungary.
But they will not win!
Hungary is the defender of traditional values and its national identity against the woke forces of evil.
History will not judge the West well in these days, but Hungary will stand out like a shining city on a hill blessed by God.
Hungary confronts the woke culture, it is no country for woke
men!

In the Navy! Navy Hires Drag Queen Influencer to Assist Recruitment
For many of you paying attention, you have seen my comments over the years regarding the lack of discipline and morale in our military. This is a direct result of poor leadership.
Hiring and recruiting men who want to be women, or want to dance provocatively for other men, while serving on a ship or submarine is a direct and immediate threat to military readiness. Which is why the Navy’s most recent announcement, that it is hiring mentally ill men to recruit other mentally ill men who want to dance and prance for other men is appalling. Joe Biden politicizing the military is a disgrace to every American who’s worn the uniform.
Biden Attacks Christians, Again
By now you have seen the sustained attacks the Biden regime has leveled at Christians. The most recent attack was a Catholic hospital in Oklahoma. The regime dictators told the hospital it had to extinguish its sanctuary lamp, lit to honor Jesus, in the holy sanctuary within the hospital. If it didn’t, Biden threatened to pull all federal funding the hospital receives.
A sanctuary lamp is a “wax candle, generally in a red glass container, kept burning day and night wherever the Blessed Sacrament is reserved in Catholic churches or chapels,” according to the Modern Catholic Dictionary. “It is an emblem of Christ's abiding love and a reminder to the faithful to respond with loving adoration in return.”
The hospital fought back, hired lawyers, and the Biden regime collapsed knowing its Marxist demands would fail before any fair judge as an infringement on the First Amendment.
The Biden regime has planted FBI agents in Catholic groups, defined Catholics as domestic terrorists, harassed nuns, and allowed mobs to attack and burn Christian pro-life centers. This attack on a Catholic hospital is merely the latest in the left’s war on Christians.
Gosar Asks Supreme Court to Uphold Chemical Abortion Ruling
This week, I joined nearly 150 lawmakers in asking the United States Supreme Court to deny the Department of Justice emergency appeal of federal court rulings improper approval and deregulation of chemical abortion drugs by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA knowingly exceeded the scope of its authorized power and endangered the health and safety of women and girls seeking chemical abortion drugs. The death of over 60 million unborn babies is a stain on this country that I pray and hope God will somehow forgive. It is the greatest injustice of our times. As Thomas Jefferson once said, “I tremble for my country when I remember God is just.” Please know that I will continue to fight for the unborn with everything I have.

Gosar Announces Military Service Academy Applications Now Being Accepted
As your Representative in Congress, I have the privilege of nominating a limited number of people to four of the five United States military service academies. The honor of attending a service academy comes with the obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.

It’s Mail Time!
I receive tens of thousands of letters each month from constituents and I love hearing from everyone! Here’s a small sample of the letters I received just this week:
James B. from Surprise, AZ writes:
I know you have been busy, and I have enjoyed your numerous email updates on what is happening. I also have watched a lot of the Forbes broadcasting on the public meetings you all have been having. They are very informative and it’s about time something like this is available. Another issue of concern is the military and its use of 'drag queens' in recruitment videos. I am an open-minded veteran, but the military is not a laboratory for cultural experiments. With .01 percent of the population identifying as such, it's the wrong direction for our military.
HOWEVER, the above said, I have to ask, WHEN will something tangible start happening that people can see, to SHOW that you guys are doing something besides talking! When will people, agency people, military people, department chiefs, someone, anyone, get fired, discharged, put in jail or taken to task for their egregious failures.
And on a positive note, I am happy to see that Speaker McCarthy and you all have sent the President a budget bill that, without reading it, sounds like it's a move in the right direction. Thank You! And thanks for listening, because a lot of people are getting very frustrated with the lack of accountability on anything or anyone!
Dear James, as noted above, the Navy’s use of a draq queen is completely innapropriate. How the Navy thinks this will solve its recruitment problems in incomprehensible to me and most Americans. Biden’s sick agenda for our military is disgrace and needs to end. You asked when something tangible will happen. I've been pushing for terminations, investigations and action. The Biden regime has so much corruption and incompetence that we are bombarded daily with its attacks on America. I will continue to press for accountability.

What is being done about this horrific new policy proposal? A new federal rule could raise the monthly mortgage payments of buyers with good credit scores by over $60 a month, while riskier borrowers will get more favorable terms because their fees will be reduced. Good people will be punished for being responsible!
Dear Donna, this socialist rule amounts to a new tax that Congress did not authorize. It is also foolish and simply increases the cost of home ownership. In a nutshell, democrats are wanting to punish and steal money from people who pay their bills. In response, I recently cosponsored H.R. 2928, the Responsible Borrowers Protection Act. This legislation would block the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA)’s increased Loan-Level Price Adjustment (LLPA) fees on mortgage borrowers with higher credit scores. Republicans in congress will do our best to reverse the daily effort of the democrats who undermine this country.

First let me thank you for your excellent representation. Secondly, I am writing to inform you of my support to hold line on the debt ceiling. I recognize the need to raise it but am very tired of the spend, spend, spend policies in Washington. As a middle class American I cannot express enough the toll these policies are taking on me and mine. We are doing our best just to put food on the table and fill our tank. Although I realize there may be more pain holding the line, I believe this is the most judicious way to proceed for the future of this country, my children, and grandchildren. I believe it will be best in the long run and help stabilize this free fall we seem to be in as a country. One of the things I admire about the democrats is that they stick together no matter what. We need to do that to save this country.
Dear Kathy, I appreciate your kind words, the struggle by real Americans to raise families, pay bills and live has been worsened every month by the democrats. Biden and the Pelosi-democrats wrecked our economy but seem indifferent to it. As noted last week, I voted to increase the debt ceiling with the conditions outlined in the Limit, Save and Grow Act. This legislation addresses the debt ceiling in a fiscally responsible manner while tackling excessive federal spending that has driven inflation to historic highs and crippled our economy. Specifically, The Limit, Save, and Grow Act will return spending levels to FY2022 levels, thereby saving taxpayers $4.5 trillion by cutting needless and wasteful programs, and it will allow for 1% annual growth over the next ten years. I have repeatedly demanded that any increase in the debt ceiling be accompanied by spending cuts to get our fiscal house in order and the Limit, Save and Grow Act does just that.
Mike D. from Surprise, AZ is sick of paying high prices to fill up his car:
I see the cost of a barrel of crude oil ended today at $66.72 and the RBOB gasoline price is $2.29/gal. How is it that gas in this area is $4.99/gal? This is crazy and is hurting many of your constituents. When is something going to be done to bring gas prices down? I know I do not need to remind you but on Jan. 20, 2020, the pump price here was $2.20/gal. This is beyond ridiculous.
Dear Mike, Arizona has been hovering at the second most expensive state for gasoline in the country. It is not clear why this is, especially since Arizona does not have the highest gasoline taxes. Not even close to Callifornia or Washington state. This story discusses it further. Nevertheless, it’s outrageous the cost of a gallon of gasoline. Unfortunately, radicalized environmentalism, climate change, and the Biden Administration’s overreach are combining to bring about the end of an important American industry: American produced oil and gas. After four years of American oil growth under President Trump, one driven by technology advances and real policy advances, we are seeing a sharp reversal in domestic investment and development under Biden. The Biden administration has put a ban on all federal onshore and offshore leasing, imposed massive new administrative hurdles for current leases looking to drill, and set about a regulatory agenda that has dramatically increased the costs of production. In congress, I am fighting for American economic and energy security while also fighting to stop the funding and profiteering of hostile foreign petro-dictators. I am fighting for American working men and women and good paying jobs. Sadly, Joe Biden and the climate alarmists are detached from reality and stand against America First priorities that will unleash our energy greatness.
