DOJ Now Accepting Applications from Downwinders in Mohave County Under Congressman Gosar’s Reauthorized and Expanded RECA Law
I have some important and timely information to share. The new applications for the expanded Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) are now live on the Department of Justice’s website for constituents residing in Mohave County. Claim forms for Downwinders under the amended RECA are available by clicking here.
As I previously reported, Congress included my legislation to reauthorize and expand RECA in the One Big Beautiful Bill. Immediately following President Trump’s signing of the One Big Beautiful Bill into law, I contacted the Department of Justice to request they provide immediate guidance for claimants in Mohave County to apply for their RECA restitution and move quickly to reopen applications.
I am very pleased that the Department of Justice honored my request and wasted no time updating its guidance for new claimants in Mohave County wishing to file under RECA who developed serious illness following radiation exposure from nuclear weapons testing during the Cold War era.
Now, if you reside in Mohave County and were sickened by U.S. nuclear weapons testing during the Cold War era, you could be compensated up to $100,000 from the federal government for its negligence.
The United States Department of Justice administers the RECA program, reviews applications, and makes payments. The application window will close on December 31, 2027, however, filed claims are expected to be paid out after that date.
I’m here to help. If you need assistance getting the compensation you deserve, please call my district office at 623-707-0530 or click here. Time is limited, so please don’t wait to file.

Obama Officials Compromised Procedures to Push Russia Hoax
Here’s an update to a story I discussed a few week’s ago: this week Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released additional declassified emails showing President Obama’s Director of National Intelligence James Clapper urged bypassing “normal” methods to craft an Obama-ordered intelligence report on the Russia collusion hoax. Dismissing serious warnings by a top intelligence official that fast tracking the effort provided insufficient time to be “absolutely confident in their assessments,” the emails confirm that Clapper was complying with Obama’s order to create the manufactured intelligence assessment about Russia and expose how Clapper demanded the intelligence community fall in line behind the Russia hoax by noting that it was a “team sport” that required “compromise on our normal modalities.” The latest declassified emails confirm what we already knew: the decision to create the bogus Russia smear campaign came directly from President Obama and was carried about by the henchmen in his corrupt administration. Anti-lawfare lawyer Mike Davis, founder and president of the Article III Project notes that the Russia hoax is the “biggest scandal in American history and there will be indictments.” I certainly agree.

Shifty Schiff Leaked Classified Russia Hoax Information
Guess who else played a significant role in pushing the Russia hoax smear campaign? None other than California Senator Adam Schiff. According to a new report released this week by the FBI, a whistleblower has come forward to reveal that then-Representative Schiff would regularly leak classified Russia-gate information which would be used to “indict President Trump.” The whistleblower is as Democrat intelligence official who worked on the House Intelligence Committee for over a decade and told FBI agents that he personally attended meetings at which Schiff authorized leaking classified information to the press. The petty motivation for Schiff’s alleged crimes, other than pure hatred for Donald Trump? According to the whistleblower’s interview with the FBI, Shifty Schiff was angry because he “believed he would have been appointed the director of the CIA had Hillary Clinton won the presidential election.” You can read the FBI interview reports by clicking here. Rest assured that there will be congressional hearings on Schiff’s unethical, illegal and treasonous actions.

275,000 Illegal Aliens Removed from Social Security System
Here is some good news you probably didn’t hear about this week from the Fake News: nearly 275,000 illegal aliens have been kicked off the Social Security system, President Trump revealed at a press conference earlier this week. On April 15, 2025, President Trump signed an executive order “aimed at stopping illegal aliens from obtaining Social Security Benefits.” 20 million lawbreakers, welcomed into our country by Joe Biden, have siphoned billions of dollars and essential services from American citizens while our state and local budgets have become increasingly strained. I laud President Trump for protecting taxpayer dollars and working tirelessly to combat Social Security fraud. Taxpayer-funded benefits, including Social Security benefits, should be provided only to eligible persons, not handed out to illegal aliens.

Gosar Gets Around Town: District Highlights!
It’s been a very busy August district work period. I am grateful to be home and meeting with the folks who matter most – YOU! This week, the highlight was speaking at the Arizona Association of Conservation Districts annual conference. One thing you are seeing is that at all levels of federal government, President Trump and Republicans in Congress are dismantling the ineffective bureaucracy, unwinding unnecessary regulations and restoring control to states and communities. We know that local and state governments act more quickly, without waiting for the slow gears of federal approval to turn. When decisions are made nearby, citizens in our communities have a say in those choices. Arizona’s locally led conservation districts are uniquely positioned to safeguard our lands, waters, wildlife, and natural resources—while protecting the very foundations of our state’s prosperity. Arizona is a land of extraordinary beauty and extraordinary challenges. Our deserts, rivers, forests, and rangelands are as diverse as the people who call this state home. But they are also fragile—and the way we care for them will determine the future of our economy, our communities, and our very way of life. Conservation districts lead projects that improve irrigation efficiency, restore riparian areas, recharge aquifers, and reduce waste. They work to protect water rights and are guardians of our tax base and public lands. A healthy landscape supports agriculture, recreation, tourism, and industry—all of which feed our economy. Thriving wildlife and open spaces mean a better quality of life for every Arizonan. When we entrust conservation to our local districts, we are putting it in the hands of people who care deeply, act wisely, and understand our needs best. Thank you for the invitation to attend your conference and the warm welcome shown by all!
