Gosar Statement on Two Year Anniversary of Disastrous Withdrawal from Afghanistan

Two years ago, Joe Biden and his incompetent administration withdrew our troops from Afghanistan, leaving over $80 billion of the best military equipment we have to our sworn enemies: China, the Taliban and Iran. Worse, Biden and his incapable generals, exposed our ground troops to hostile attacks, killing 13 soldiers. Hundreds of American citizens were left stranded.  Many remain left behind this very day. In Congress, House Republicans have conducted four hearings to uncover the truth concerning Biden’s failed plan.  This botched withdrawal was completely preventable.  Not only was this military retreat a humiliating loss for the United States, it rendered every life we lost there an unnecessary sacrifice, plus we wasted over $1 trillion in taxpayer money. 

Despite Biden failing to take any responsibility for this surrender, here are the facts:

• Joe Biden ignored warnings from senior military leaders about withdrawing troops from Afghanistan.
• Joe Biden ignored recommendations to conduct the evacuation from the more secure Bagram Air Base.
• Joe Biden’s military leadership failed to anticipate the ensuring chaos following the withdrawal.
• Biden lied to the American people when he promised a withdrawal that would be conducted "responsibly, deliberately, and safely."
• More than 800 Americans were abandoned behind enemy lines in Afghanistan for months, despite Biden promising American troops would “stay until we get them all out.”
• American troops stationed at Abbey Gate were aware of and had identified the suspected bomber hours before the blast but were stopped from taking action.

A Lot Can Happen in Two Weeks 

Speaking of woeful predictions, the "experts" in the Pentagon predicted a quick and easy Ukrainian victory back in June and July with the "Great Offensive."  These are the same experts who lost the war in Afghanistan.  We have incompetent military leaders.  

Have I mentioned lately that the Ukrainian government bribed Joe Biden with $5 million and in return Biden committed us to an illegal proxy war and over $125 billion and counting of our tax dollars?  This is first rate corruption in third world fashion.  

There have been massive Ukrainian deaths due to Biden's warmongering.   This is shameful for the United States to be involved.  NATO has proven to be a fraud and waste of money.  Billions of dollars of our best equipment have been smoked, vaporized and destroyed by Russia along with American-trained Ukrainian troops and NATO advisors.  

Ukraine made its bed and now it must lie in it.   For eight years Ukrainian NAZI's attacked Russian civilians.  They got what they asked for.  War with Russia and it is not our problem. 

In 2020, Barak Obama said this about Joe Biden: "Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f–k things up.” Joe Biden's failures these last three years have proven this statement true.  While attempting to hurt the Russian economy, Biden and his band of idiots, particularly Janet "I didn't know printing trillions of dollars would cause rampant inflation" Yellin, Biden has instead caused trillions of dollars in harm to our economy and boosted Russia.  

Congress never declared war.  Our military is for defense.  This is pure offense.  

Protect our own borders with our troops. 

The Worst General Wakes Up

After years of promoting homosexuality and drag shows on military bases and ships, General Milley appears to be backtracking.  

Perhaps it’s the exceptionally low recruiting numbers?  Perhaps it’s the fact that General Milley and Defense Secretary Austin have turned our military into a global laughing stock?

The humiliating and botched retreat from Afghanistan confirmed we wasted 20 years, a couple trillion dollars, and over 5,000 American lives.  Who knows how many Afghan civilians we killed.  All for nothing. 

In any event, it was Milley that held secret talks with the Chinese Communists behind President Trump’s back.  It was Milley who told the CCP that he would solely override any order given by President Trump.  In this manner, Milley ran a coup and abrogated power to himself in violation of the Constitution.  

Finally, it was Milley who secretly met with Pelosi to undermine President Trump as they plotted J6 events and reactions.

Breaking News: July Border Crossings Soar

Late Friday, the Biden Regime quietly announced that more than 183,000 illegal aliens crossed the southern border in July.  This is equivalent to roughly 6,000 lawbreakers walking across the border every single day, or 250 every hour.  Because of Biden’s reckless open border policies, more than 7.2 million illegals have been welcomed into our country since Biden took office.  It gets worse, more that 1,700 pounds of deadly fentanyl and 5,100 pounds of meth were seized by border officials last month.  Since Biden took office, more than 22 tons of fentanyl have crossed the southern border.  To put that into perspective, that is enough to kill 10 billion people.   Don’t be fooled by the claims made by the left and Fake News: these are not innocent asylum seekers.  They are criminals including drug lords and cartel members carrying rifles and armor piercing ammunition as reported this week.   Like I just said: protect our own borders with our troops. 

White House Admits Inflation Reduction Act Won’t Reduce Inflation

This week also marks the one-year anniversary of Joe Biden signing the democrats’ so-called “Inflation Reduction Act.  I voted against this monstrosity and here’s my press release I issued at the time. The legislation is choked full of subsidies and corporate pay offs for democrat interest groups and climate extremists gleefully implementing Biden’s radical green agenda while deepening our dependence on foreign sources of energy.  Even Joe Biden has openly admitted that this law had little to do with combatting the high prices families are facing everyday and Senior White House adviser John Podesta said Wednesday that Inflation Reduction Act, despite its name, is "all about" rolling back the carbon pollution that has been "driving the climate crisis."

Biden’s climate bill with a phony title has caused rampant inflation and interest rates are the highest they have been in 16 years.  This was predicted at the time of passage.  Spending another $1.2 trillion does not reduce inflation.  It causes inflation and it has.  The cost to taxpayers is now estimated by the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) to be at least $650 billion, 240 percent higher than what Democrats originally told the American people. 

Biden Uses Fake Names to Cover Up Corruption

Well, well, well…seems that Joe Biden used a handful of pseudonyms to hide his communications with Ukrainians, Chinese and other foreign entities in order to fulfill his end of the massive corruption scheme.  

Why would Biden need fake names?  Like most criminals, using your own name is somewhat foolish, so in order to try to hide his criminal transactions he came up with names to fool the FBI and other law enforcement.  

The House Committee of Oversight and Accountability revealed this week that Joe Biden aka ‘Robert Peters’ aka ‘JRB Ware’ aka ‘Robert Ware’ used fake names when discussing the bribes with overseas contacts.  The Oversight Committee, on which I serve, is demanding the National Archives release records and documents pertaining to this latest development.  We won’t stop until we have the answers.  

To date we have documented multiple shell companies used to hide the millions in bribes. We have documented fake names to hide his true identify.  We have bank records and eye witness testimony.  

There has never been this level of corruption in our government before. 

And true to the definition of a corrupt politician, once bought, Biden stays bought.  He is paying off his bribes with our military in Ukraine.

I’m sure the simple-minded thinking of Republicans will include shutting down the government in September along with more woe is me trump talk.... please stop this silliness and get your ass to work!! Trump did it and you know it - stop playing games.  You do not gain one thing by shutting down the government. I’m voting along with millions of my friends and we will not vote you back in unless you get your act together. What am I saying -  I would never vote for you because all you do is waste time and money on stupid political games.

Karen, Congress has ample time to pass a budget that reins in spending – it just takes the will of some weak-kneed Members of Congress to get things done.   Our national debt is nearing $32 trillion.  Despite your claim, this is not a “stupid political game.”  Every American has to balance their check book and live within their means.  It should be no different for the federal government. 

Jean D. from Lake Havasu City also vents:

You and your cult of Trump brothers and sisters formally known as the Republican Party need to stop the clown show.  Stop this idea of impeachment of the President. You have no evidence because there isn’t any and this is a waste of my taxpayer money. I want to stop paying your salaries until you actually start doing the jobs you were sent there to do. I am sick to death of the cult running our government. You are absolutely an embarrassment to the state and you should be impeached.

Jean, how much more evidence do you need?  Every day there is a new headline on another revelation of the corruption within the Biden family.   There are so many aspects, avenues, and threads to pull on there’s no way I could list them all here.  Charges need to be leveled against the Biden Crime Family for using Joe’s position in public office as a means of self-enrichment.  Putting personal interests ahead of American interests is not just a dishonor of the office, but treasonous.  As a member of the House Oversight Committee, I am in talks with other members on almost a daily basis on finding the most effective means of holding this corrupt family accountable, including impeaching Joe Biden.

I’m concerned about IRS agents getting firearm training. This is really scary for me as a taxpayer.  Is the IRS going to point a gun at my head when collecting taxes? This is bonkers.

Dear Chad, this is bonkers, indeed.  Those so-called “mostly peaceful” 87,000 new IRS agents are no doubt using this training for accounting purposes!  Makes you wonder why DHS was buying up all those rounds of ammo a few years ago, doesn’t it?  Bottom line is that the IRS doesn’t need anyone to be armed to do their job.  My opinion: disarm the IRS, not law-abiding citizens.

Congressman Gosar, What the left is doing to Trump is unheard of. They are on a fishing exposition doing all they can to destroy the President and they are doing this to prevent him from ever being elected again because they fear him. He would pick an HONEST General Attorney, Garland IS NOT, he would find someone with integrity to be Director of the FBI which this REPUBLIC has never had, they have all been corrupt J Edgar was the most corrupt. And if Trump were to be elected in 2024, they fear they themselves would be arrested and some tried for treason and executed, people like Biden, Clinton, Obama and maybe dig up Ol' George H W and Tricky Dick. Look at the crimes the Clintons have committed (lot of dead bodies tagged to them) the Obama's and the Biden Crime Syndicate. Hunter and Joe should be in different prisons:  Joe for LIFE and Hunter for 30 years. You need to put a stop to this bulls@$t.  In this Republic you try the crimes not the man but that due process is denied to Trump. Your actions will determine whom I vote for and it might not be you if you don't act. Biden needs to be impeached, not protecting the border alone is enough to be charged by you, tried by the Senate Presided over by the Chief Justice and removed from the Oval Office. The day Trump came down his escalator to announce his candidacy they began the impeachment process. You KNOW all of this has been a witch hunt by the left from the very beginning and I'm not seeing you doing anything to stop the very thing the Government could and would do to everyday citizens of this country. We are NOT China Cuba, North Korea or any other dictatorship. Government has gotten too big and the power needs to be returned to We The People. YOU KNOW what they're doing to Trump is WRONG. I would like a response but don't give me the usual song and dance of being glad to hear from me and what a great guy you are, just address my letter.

Robert, I don’t disagree with you one bit.  The left want President Trump imprisoned because he is the greatest threat to their woke agenda.  I firmly support Donald Trump.  The attacks against him are coordinated and unfair.  For every alleged crime he is accused of, there are parallel crimes for crooks like Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and other corrupt Democrat leaders.  The only difference is they never seem to face any consequences, but if your last name is Trump or if you fight for an American first agenda, then you are the enemy.  

The Department of Justice, run by the Biden appointee (who was first an Obama appointee) Merrick Garland, is an absolute disgrace.  While on Oversight, I’ve never seen such a flagrant disregard for justice in the Department of Justice.  I fully support efforts to legislatively reign in or at least defund the political weaponization of this department, especially the FBI.  

Our institutions of justice ignore, and even obstruct, the wrongdoings of the president’s son in his legal troubles, while simultaneously trying to indict President Trump over a document dispute.  This two-tiered standard of justice is nothing short of corruption and is exactly why I came to D.C. to drain the swamp.

The indictment of President Trump attempting to criminalize his efforts to address voter fraud are a joke.  The First Amendment names the freedom of speech as one of the most basic rights entrusted to us by our God.  And, yes, even presidents have it.  President Trump had every right to question voter irregularities, and he only challenged election results through legal means, no matter what the ravings of left-wing authoritarians might suggest.   

Know that I will continue to defend our beloved President from the corrupt and power-thirsty elites.
