Happy Fourth of July!
Happy Independence Day to you and your family! In the midst of all the barbeques and fireworks, let us also honor the men and women who fought and continue to fight for the freedom that we are celebrating.
Sadly, thanks to Bidenflation, the average price of your July 4th barbeque is 17% higher from last year. According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, this year’s cookout will cost nearly $70. Everything costs more. For example, chicken breast is up 33%, pork chops up 31%, homemade potato salad up 19%, pork & beans up 33%, hamburger buns are up 16%, fresh squeezed lemonade up 22% and cookies are up 7%. Ground beef is up a whopping $36%!!
The increased cost of food is a huge concern for our country and Americans are rightfully worried they can’t afford the 4th of July celebration. Remember last year when Joe Biden bragged that the cost of a 4th of July cookout in 2021 was down a mere 16 cents? I’ve a hunch that Biden won’t be sending out a cost update for this year’s July 4th cookout.
On a sad but related note, democrats in Arizona are “mourning” the 4th of July and will be protesting our nation’s independence with a “FU*K the Fourth” protest march in Tucson. What, you might be asking? It’s true. Because this is a family-friendly newsletter, I won’t dignify the left’s latest efforts to cancel America with any further details. However, if you really want to know more, google it!
Don’t let the left ruin your Fourth of July celebration! I encourage you to read this great article that celebrates America, patriotism and the heroes we honor!
The Town of Payson Declares June 28 as Paul Gosar Day!
Earlier this week, Payson Mayor Tom Morrissey proclaimed June 28, 2022 as Paul Gosar Day and presented me with honorary “keys to the town.”
I have had the privilege and honor of representing Payson for more than a decade in the United States House of Representatives. Payson is a wonderful town and its people will always be close to my heart.
To receive this recognition from a town I truly do love is quite special and I am incredibly humbled that June 28th was named Paul Gosar Day! I will never stop fighting for this wonderful town and I would like to sincerely thank Mayor Morrissey for this thoughtful recognition.
Gosar Pays Tribute to Granite Mountain Hotshots
This week marked the ninth anniversary of the tragic passing of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots, who lost their lives fighting the 2013 Yarnell Hill wildfire. To this day, words cannot express my sadness to the families of these brave first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting our community. Their complete selflessness and courage to answer the call of duty when we needed them most are eternal. Their spirit to boldly act and protect the defenseless will never perish.
Earlier this week, I introduced the Granite Mountain Hotshots Commemorative Coin Act, legislation that honors the firefighters through the creation of commemorative coins. Although nothing will ever replace the husbands, fathers and sons that were lost, this is a small but fitting way to memorialize and cherish the lives of these brave heroes.

Biden Administration Promotes Atheism Worldwide
The left would have you believe that our nation was founded on secular grounds and that a wall of separation between Church and State has been our guiding principle since the beginning. Of course, we all know that America was founded largely by Christians who wanted to escape oppressive dictators and the State Church of England.
And while our Founding Fathers came from different church denominations, they all shared the same Christian belief that is found throughout our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution. Beginning in the 1960’s, leftist activists posing as judges started to dismantle our Christian heritage and iconography. Crosses were ordered removed from parks. A prayer before school was limited then banned. The left did their best to remove our Christian culture from public life. I am working to reverse that cultural cleansing with others in Congress and to restore our Christian heritage.
But the left would have you believe that our founders wanted Christianity to be completely absent from all forms and institutions of government and they have slowly eroded God from our classrooms and removed Him from most of our government.
Now they are turning their attention to the rest of the world.
This week, I joined several of my colleagues and sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken regarding the Biden administration’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor’s grant program promoting atheism. That’s right. The Biden administration is doling of $500,000 to organizations committed to the practice and spread of atheism in South/Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa. In addition to its constitutionally dubious legal foundation, I question how such a grant program advances the foreign policy interests of the United States. I’ll keep you posted on what response I receive from Secretary Blinken.

You’re Invited: Congressman Gosar to Host an Education Roundtable Discussion in Lake Havasu City
The Supreme Court recently issued a series of decisions that are important to Americans. Two pertained to education. In one case out of Maine, the Court ruled that the state could not discriminate against religious schools in terms of funding. If the school district provides funding for private schools, it cannot discriminate against religious private schools. In another case out of Washington state, the Court ruled that a school cannot fire a schoolteacher and coach who publicly prayed at a football game.
My roundtable will be discussing the impact of these decisions in Arizona. In light of the state Legislature authorizing $7,000 per student in education funding that goes where the child goes, there is a lot to talk about how education will be improved now going forward.
You are welcome to attend with an RSVP. Please send your RSVP to Penny.Pew@mail.house.gov and put RSVP in the subject line.
Need Help with a Federal Agency? I Can Help!
After nearly three years fighting the federal bureaucracy with little success, Jim and Elana L. reached out to me seeking help my help with a securing a visa for a member of their family.
This week my amazing District Director, Penny Pew, received this fantastic note from Jim and Elana:
Just a short note to say "Thank You" again for your assistance with my stepson’s immigration visa. After 3 1/2 years, his visa application was stalled in the bureaucracy in Kiev. Your contact of the US Embassy in Kiev is what finally got the wheels turning and my stepson and his fiancé are now here with us in Phoenix.
We had the opportunity to thank Congressman Gosar personally this morning, as we were a local radio show together. My family appreciates your kind gesture, Thank You Penny!
With Warm Regards,
Jim and Elena L.
Phoenix, Arizona

It’s Mail Time!
I love hearing from you and you guys do not disappoint! So many of your letters raise good points that I want everyone to read them too. So, with that, let’s jump in and see what’s on your mind:
Susan L. from Bullhead City shares:
I enjoy getting your weekly updates, my question is are you still going to be my congressman as I was told you are not going to be in this district & that would make me very unhappy as I appreciate all you stand for all you do & let us know about issues in your newsletter,,,
I’ve been getting your newsletter for some time now & would miss it,,thanks.
Thank you, Susan, your comment is very appreciated. You were misinformed by whoever talked to you. I cannot go into detail in this newsletter, but I am not just representing Bullhead City, I have moved there and intend to represent Bullhead City in the future.
Mary E. from Scottsdale writes:
I am so grateful for your courage, leadership and strength of character in Washington. It is hard to watch so many people, including so-called Republicans, "talk the talk" but cower in fear when it comes to "walking the walk". These people have continually compromised their integrity, to the point of no longer possessing any. I am praying for you, and other like-minded members...and pray for President Trump. The actions of the DOJ and FBI are absolutely evil and sinful... and I pray that after November, the Republican majorities will CALL THESE PEOPLE BEFORE COMMITTEES... PUT THEM UNDER OATH... AND BRING JUSTICE BACK TO AMERICA.
Thank you for your continued honor, focus and defense of our CONSTITUTION.
God bless and keep you and your family in His protective care.
Thank you, Mary! I fully intend to participate in organizing committee investigations and criminal referrals to all the people who have abused their authority and acted illegally, from the perpetrators of the Russia Collusion hoax (which was an effort to remove President Trump illegally), to the January 6th leaders, including the committee members now who are abusing their power and persecuting people, to the treatment of prisoners, to the purges in the military, and the attempted coup by the military and Nancy Pelosi on January 8th when they met to discuss arresting and removing President Trump. There are crimes that have been committed and people need to be held accountable.
Carol and Chuck S. from Clarkdale sent in:
Our prayers have been answered! Lord God, our Father, heard our prayers and has brought forth His will.
Thank you for your belief, faith, and STRENGTH to stand up to the illogical, radical ideolog of anger, death, and destruction. God BLESS you, your family, your staff, and SCOTUS.
How do we impeach or fire AG Garland?
Thanks, Carol and Chuck! The blatantly wrong and unconstitutional decision in Roe v. Wade was finally reversed and 50 years of federal permission for child sacrifice was ended. We should mourn the 63 million american babies that were murdered in this genocide. It is truly a blessing to see this day and now we can focus on saving lives.
Ken S. From Kirkland writes:
My family and I are Starlink customers. We just received an email from Starlink explaining that the frequency that Starlink uses for their internet service may be given to DISH Network by the FCC. This would more or less shut down Starlink.
We live in a rural area of Yavapai County. Starlink is one of only three internet services that will work in our location. Starlink is the only one of those thtree that is suitable for our purposes.
I strongly suspect that the threat to Starlink is only happening for political reasons because of Elon Musk’s attempt to purchase Twitter. Also, since Starlink is specifically intended for rural users, most of the people that will be affected are politically conservative.
You are our representative in congress. Arizona’s two senators do not represent us and at least one of them is likely illegitimate.
I ask that you please use your position as our representative stop the FCC from screwing up starlink.
Thanks, Ken. My office has received hundreds of letters similar to yours and I am listening. I am a firm believer in the need for our rural population to have fast and available internet service. Our country has favored the coastal elites in many ways, as our debt-based economy draws all capital to the big cities, leaving our manufacturing and farming base with dwindling opportunities. The least we can do for our rural communities is to ensure the FCC is considerate of their needs when auctioning and maintaining spectrum frequencies. It is a necessity that current users of the GHz spectrum maintain reliable internet services should the FCC move forward with any changes.
Ken M. from Golden Valley, AZ shared his views:
We all know we need to conserve our water our wells are precious we help feed the local animals. My concerns of agriculture and Southern Arizona sucking up northern Arizona's water reserves concerns me deeply thank you for your time
God bless you and yours Paul. And may God bless these United States of America.
Ken, thanks for sharing your concerns. As water gets more and more scarce, especially in Arizona, we must find solutions to address water shortages.
I set up an internal task force to explore how Arizona can expand its water supply, not just continue to ration what we have. The Colorado River is spoken for and over committed. Arizona needs new water. My task force identified desalination plants that can be built and water pipelines either from Mexico and the Sea of Cortez or from the Midwest of the United States. When we looked at California, which is logistically the closest source of U.S. based water we could desalinate, we determined that the leftist policies and its own track record of incompetence and anti-development programming precluded consideration of California as a serious water partner. Put another way, it is easier to work with Mexico or Louisiana than it is the much closer California.
I am also the Chairman and founder of the Colorado River Caucus, and our focus has been on expanding the water supply.
The good news is this: whether it is water in Mexico and a pipeline to Arizona, or a pipeline from a mid-western state, many areas have an abundance or overabundance of water that we can easily ship to Arizona. Keep in mind there are oil and gas pipelines throughout the world that carry product thousands of miles. Pumping water is comparatively easy compared to that.
Rich H. from Flagstaff sent these kind words:
Dear Congressman Gosar,
As usual, you have hit it out of the park again!
Your Newsletter today is very informative and interesting. In particular thank you for the list of Woke Corporations.
Thank You again for all you do.
Thanks, Rich! The newsletter is a great way to communicate with my constituents and cut through the bologna and fake news pushed by the Main Stream media. Keep reading and I will keep writing!
Kathy K. from Buckeye offered these words:
Why can’t the United States look for some way to close the southern border? Can’t the southern states declare an invasion and send the national guard in? This is out of control and very scary. I know the dems want to give them mass voting rights. We will never recover from that move. And the war in Ukraine is totally to cover up all the money laundering and and crimes that alot of our congress people are involved in, including Joe and his son are involved in!
Who is running this country? Let’s show the world who writing his speeches, making ludicrous decress. Get rid of Fauci!!!!
Thanks, Kathy. Now you’re making way too much sense! Logic and reason are two traits not usually found in those on the left!
Finally, Ed M. from Tucson writes:
We won one for the innocents. Thank you for your steadfastness and courage.
Thanks, Ed. Your note sums it up well. 63 million babies are smiling down from heaven!
