Representative Gosar Praises Arrival of F-35 Warplane

Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar (R-AZ) released the following statement upon the arrival of the first F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) warplane at the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, which arrived last Friday.

Congressman Paul Gosar said, “I am proud the Department of Defense chose to place a number of F-35 Joint Strike Fighter warplanes in Arizona.  The F-35 program is vital to our national security, which is the primary constitutional responsibility of the federal government.  Further, our state will benefit from the economic activity that stems from the production of these planes and the testing at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma and at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale.”

“I have advocated for the success of this program during my tenure in Congress.  This program gives the United States and its allies technological superiority in the skies.  I remain grateful to the men and women who contributed to the Joint Strike Fighter mission.”

Congressman Paul Gosar is a member of the Congressional Joint Strike Fighter Caucus—a bipartisan group dedicated to ensuring the success of the JSF program.
