Rep. Paul Gosar Votes to Repeal Obamacare

WASHINGTON, D.C. -U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar, D.D.S (AZ-04) voted to fully repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. The House of Representatives voted 229-195 in favor of repeal. Upon passage, Rep. Gosar issued following statement:

“Obamacare is terminally sick and we need to call the time of death.  Today, I proudly voted to repeal what I believe is an unconstitutional law.”

 Excerpts from the video:

“Obamacare hurts the very people it was intended to help.”
---
“Obamacare is so bad in fact, that in Arizona, those who have been on government healthcare the longest are now seeking private options. The Native American tribes are moving away from government run healthcare. So should we.”
---
“Like other areas of the economy where the federal government wields its heavy-hand, healthcare is over-regulated, over-priced and in need of serious market reforms.”
---
“Through a combination of tax and tort reform, free-market competition, and redefining public health, we will once again have the world’s best healthcare system.”

Earlier today, Rep. Gosar attended the Congressional GOP Doctors Caucus press conference on Obamacare. He stood next to the “thousands and thousands of pages of Obamacare regulations” and announced his intended vote on full repeal.
