Rep. Paul Gosar on C-Span’s Washington Journal

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) appeared on C-Span’s Washington Journal with Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick (AZ-01) to discuss their jobs bill, the Southeast Arizona Land Exchange and Conservation Act of 2013. This legislation authorizes a land exchange that would open up the largest copper mine in North America and create more than 3,700 local jobs.

“Good legislation is good legislation. Working on behalf of getting people back to work is something crucial and critical to Arizona.”
----
“What we’ve been doing is trying to make sure we listen to the people in the district, the different communities, and trying to get something that worked for everybody and then ultimately putting people back to work.”
----
“We built coalitions, from climbers, to environmentalists, to industry, to consumer groups…we should be inclusive.”
---
“Government is about working for the people.”

Momentum continues to build in support of the Southeast Arizona Land Exchange and Conservation Act of 2013. Here’s what The Arizona Republic had to say: “The benefits of the mine are significant for Arizona and the nation. Too significant to let this project continue to languish. The House should move this forward.” Click HERE to read more.
