Speaking Directly to YOU: My office has received more calls and messages from our constituents in the past two weeks since the 2020 Election than at any other time since I've entered public office. Those messages always make their way directly to me and I am hearing you loud and clear. Many of you are extremely concerned about the integrity of the election. I am too. Some of you have called to express support for all we are doing and others are unaware of what we have been doing and are calling to ask questions and demand that we do all we can to ensure that this is a free, fair and accurate election. That is why I have decided to host a virtual Town Hall, this evening at 6 PM AZ time. I want to update you on everything I have done since election day and what I intend to do next. I'll also be answering your questions. The Town Hall will be conducted via "Facebook Live." You do NOT need to have a Facebook account in order to access the live video. You can access the live video by clicking HERE.

Ongoing Election Accountability Watch: I have been fighting for accountability and integrity in our electoral process, and I have yet to slow my efforts. From reports of software glitches, fraud or error from poll workers, and wrong writing instruments being given to Arizona voters, I have been working with all legal entities to ensure all legal American votes are counted and recorded properly. We must maintain faith in our electoral systems, and the only way to do so is to investigate these allegations and audit state elections when necessary to ensure the election was not stolen from President Trump. Luckily, the Trump Campaign continues this fight alongside me, and so far the following actions have been taken: I continue to call for an audit of the Arizona election count over concerns that Dominion software flipped votes for President Trump to Biden in other states. If there is a software glitch, we need to find and correct the issue. If there is not, then we can at least maintain faith in our election system picking the fair and legal winner. MAGA: Hundreds of thousands of people converged upon "Freedom Plaza" on Saturday, joining other rallies around the country to show support for President Donald Trump and demanding fairness in the election process. Before marching to the Supreme Court, the massive crowd heard speeches from prominent Trump supporters including Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), My Pillow founder Mike Lindell, and several other activists.
The event was not campaign related and was instead the result of a grassroots effort led by various conservative activists and influencers. Trump tweeted about the grassroots support on Nov. 13, saying it was heartwarming to “see all of the tremendous support out there, especially the organic Rallies that are springing up all over the Country, including a big one on Saturday in D.C.” The President had also hinted in recent days that he may "stop by." He in fact did have his motorcade do a "drive-by" to greet his supporters.
The entire day was mostly without incident - however, as soon as the march was over, Trump supporters were assaulted and attacked by the radical leftist group ANTIFA as well as members from the "Black Lives Matter" group. Innocent people, including women and children were attacked because of their support for the President of the United States. To read more about the senseless attacks on Trump supporters, click HERE.

Thank You To All Who Have Served:
“To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations…” President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed this salute to American service members on the first Armistice Day, now called Veterans day, in November 1919. The holiday, first created to memorialize the end of the Great War, has since become a legally observed celebration of gratitude for all the men and women who have served this great nation. From the colonists who stood at Lexington and Concord, to the soldiers who preserved this great Union in 1865, to those Americans that crossed the seas in 1917,1941, and 1944 to liberate the world from tyrannical rule, millions of Americans in our history have answered the call to serve. Freedom and democracy are not guarantees in life, they are gifts which must be defended, which is why Americans follow the mantra that freedom is not free. To those men and women who have responded to this notion by serving in our armed services, we are eternally grateful for your service and thank you not just on this day but every day we leave the comfort of our homes and benefit from the opportunities and happiness that come from living in a free society. To those Americans which have answered the call to serve, we sincerely thank you for your service and pledge to always remember your sacrifice. Happy Veterans Day.

Giving Back to Those Who Gave All: Last week, the Trump Administration signed an order which took effect on Veterans Day granting all U.S. military veterans and Gold Star families free access to national parks, refuges, forests, and other federal lands. I applaud the Administration for taking this action and for President Trump’s continued commitment to our nation’s heroes and their families. America is blessed with natural gifts unlike anywhere in the world, and many national parks and lands have a historical and direct connection to the U.S. military. We owe our veterans and their families a great debt for their sacrifices, and I hope this action is well received by the veteran community, who we deeply apprecaite for their service to this great nation. Central Arizona Senior Association’s Veteran Support Event:
Last Monday, I had the opportunity to attend the Central Arizona Senior Association’s (CASA) Veteran Support Event. At this event, I was able to outline my work for veterans in Congress, such as my recent push to protect veterans from unfair red flag gun laws based on their treatment at the VA and my bill to provide disabled veterans with free access to TSA services to alleviate travel burdens. Even in times of great political division, supporting our veterans is one area where Washington D.C. can come together, and I look forward to continuing to fight for our nation’s heroes to ensure the country provides them with the resources and services necessary. As I outlined to the veterans as the CASA event, there are a plethora of federal government resources out there to assist you, and my team of caseworkers in my Arizona and Washington D.C. offices are always more than happy to help. Thank you to Mike and Allison Flannery and CASA for working together to orchestrate this great event, and I look forward to attending more in the future!

Legislative Look Ahead:
This week, the House returns to Washington D.C. for a session before Thanksgiving and will then return in early December. There is much unfinished business to be completed, and the 116th Congress is nearly over.
National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA): the NDAA is the annual defense bill which aligns the policy and resources of the DoD to adequately deal with the range of national security threats facing the country. For 59 straight years, this bill has passed with broad bipartisan support. America’s national security has never been a partisan issue but recently it’s been under assault from liberal priorities such as extending red flag laws on our service members, an irrelevant immigration provision which allows CCP members to gain backdoor entry into our country, preventing resources for the border wall, and more. Luckily, the GOP Senate majority is combating these far Left attempts to undermine our security, and, sooner or later, Pelosi must play ball or risk undermining our military capabilities for the next year.
You can read about my initial opposition to the Democrats bill in July HERE
Government Funding: Back in September, Congress passed a stopgap measure to fund the government past the election. If you are a regular subscriber of my newsletter you’d know I voted no on this legislation because we need to propose a proper budget that cuts spending and not just kick the can down the road with a continuing resolution. This resolution only funded the government through December 11th so since that date is rapidly approaching, we’re coming back to D.C. to thwart a government shutdown. A continuing resolution is harmful for the nation because it maintains funding levels at the previous year. Since spending is not changed, we can neither cut unnecessary spending nor begin new and necessary programs (like defense equipment). While I am optimistic to hear that the Senate and House are discussing passing an actual spending bill rather than another continuing resolution, I am skeptical about the harm either a massive omnibus with liberal spending increases will bring the nation or for the chance that partisanship will again force the government to pass a continuing resolution. If I was a betting man, I would guess that we’ll vote on what people call a “skinny budget” which is a fairly noncontroversial budget that funds the government for a year at levels that aren’t much higher or lower than previous budgets. For many legislators that’s fine, but I came to Washington to reform government spending and having a skinny budget will only delay reforms.
Covid Stimulus: Democrats continue to make passing another multi trillion dollar Covid deal a priority. In fact, on Thursday Speaker Pelosi and Minority Leader Schumer called once again for the Senate to take up the HEROES Act, a bill which had very little to do with addressing Covid and instead funds a liberal wish list and blatantly harmful policies. Much of the money I have already voted to pass remains unused in programs such as the Paycheck Protection Program, yet Democrats demand more. The appetite among Republicans and even moderate Democrats remains low for such a large bill, and Majority Leader McConnell continues to call for a targeted relief valued at $500 billion, significantly off from the Democrats $2 trillion price tag. With the White House, House, and Senate all calling for different action, the chance for Covid relief to pass this year remains uncertain. My personal stance is that the best form of relief is opening up our country.
With time running out and so many large legislative priorities remaining, I am sure Speaker Pelosi is wishing she had required her Democrat colleagues to actually show up in Washington D.C. to do their jobs as the Republican Senate has been doing for months.
One of my top legislative priorities is the repeal of McCarran-Ferguson anti-trust exemptions for health insurance companies. As you’ve probably heard me preach many times, I find that the real problem with our healthcare is health insurance companies not fighting amongst each other to get you the best service. The Democrats want you to be convinced that our current healthcare system is the product of a free market and it’s failures mean a single payer is the only logical solution. Malarkey! How could Democrats call a system of monopolies and subsidies "free"? We need to strip the government protections for health insurance and make them compete for your business. The House did its part and passed my bill, call your Senators today and tell them that you want your health care competitive!
