Western Caucus Urges Repeal of WOTUS
On Thursday, members of the Congressional Western Caucus released statements calling for full repeal of the Obama Administration’s Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule through the final conference report of the Farm Bill or through the passage of the Department of the Interior, Environment, Financial Services, and General Government Appropriations Act of 2019.

New Waste Prevention Rule Finalized by the Department of Interior
On Tuesday, the Department of Interior announced that it has finalized a new waste prevention rule that revises the 2016 Obama-era rule in order to foster economic growth and energy development. This new rule will reduce unnecessary burdens on the private sector and restore proven regulations at a time when investment in Federal onshore oil and gas is skyrocketing.
